Another thing I did not understand is where did Weisman go for most of the 2nd half? Was he dinged up, or did he get Ferentzed? He did re-emerge in OT.

can't be too thrilled with the coaches ... satisfying to be Northwestern.
However if we don't get better in the 2nd half we might not win too many more games.

Inferior NW teams have beaten Iowa teams far superior to this one. Any win against NW is a good win for Iowa.

Purdue is irrelevant. But hey, they got rid of their last coach that wasn't succeeding. They now have a new staff. That doesn't make them the laughing stock...irrelevant, but not a laughing stock. We have a $4 million dollar coach that needs OT to win a game, at home, against a team that had lost 3 straight games. Who lost another halftime lead and had to call 3 time outs in the first 16+ minutes of the game on 1st and goal, 4th down: then punted, and then on 1st down. Come on people, this is horrible football.

We really lucked out today, and it seems that's the norm when we do win (minus Western Michigan). Since Norm's health issues, and eventual leave, Iowa plays worse in the second half. it's a broken record x10000000. We build a lead, and then lose it and look completely lost trying to get any momentum back. This staff just doesn't have what it takes to get it done, had NW not fumbled and been penalized, there's a real good chance we lose to a very bad NW team (they are hurt and I'm sorry they did nothing but run down our throats all game). I'm sure next week will be another close game, with similar outcome. But I think WI has more weapons than NW

You realize that an OU fan laughing at someone saying they're watching Iowa doesn't make Iowa THE laughingstock of the B1G, right?
The B1G is the laughing stock conference of college football. The guy could have said he was watching just about any team in the B1G and gotten laughed at.

No. I don't. Not a laughing stock, maybe a middling team trying to recover from a nightmare season...an avg team currently(heck, maybe even a below avg team) but not a laughing stock.
Not trying to flame ya, just think we are getting a little better. Coaching needs to continue to improve for sure.

Okay, guys. If you all think this is the best Iowa football can offer, more power to you. If you want to get this excited about a lucky win against an average team, at home, that had lost 3 games coming in, good for you. It looks like you all will be very satisfied as long as KF is head coach. Keep enabling.

I am not nuts about KF either.But you got to give up this dream of firing KF. It won't be possible for at least another 2 years. By that time,maybe he has his mojo back and Iowa is competing for the BIG again. This team improved from last year. NW isn't the same with out Colter. Amazing how he is ready to go against us???

Perhaps you didn't read all of my first post? I stated: "Great job players for showing the fans what heart is, today, despite your coaching staff." You know there was a time that we didn't have to worry about whether we were going to beat NW at home or on the road. But hey, now that we are 2-3 in the last 5 games against NW at home, things are all better? And, by the way, internet or not, the name calling removes any credibility your statements may have had.
