He was bashing everything, but that is what he does. He still thinks it is Jan 2014 or something
If you can't be happy after a 12-0 regular season when can you be happy? I guess it's National Title or bust here at Iowa.

Do you think he is better than akrum or Mitchell were as freshman?

He's definitely more prepared coming out of HS than were Akrum and DMX. Akrum needed to get bigger and stronger. Mitchell was learning WR after playing QB in HS.

I think Toks has a chance to play some this season. Hard to say how much with 3 veterans ahead of him though.

I don't get the Daniels hate. He's a much better back than people give him credit for. His main issue was injuries, as when he was healthy last year he tore things up. Daniels is a nice combination of power and just enough speed to bust a big run or two.

I think Daniels and Wadley should both get a good amount of touches per game, but you have to go with the hot hand. If Daniels is off, let Wadley carry the load, and vice versa.

No, you are just being a jerk. You are not looking all posts. Enjoyed last year and other years. Several years are wasted due to KF not having a lights out QB who breaks the mold. Otherwise KF offenses are very predictable. Leads to RB injuries when they are targeted.

Don't think it is hate. One of those guys has D1 speed at programs that do well. One does not. One can change a game against strong defenses. One is a role player. One could get plays at OSU. One likely wouldn't get plays at NW. No one doubts the determination of either. It's game speed. One plays similar to Ronnie Harmon. One plays like the gutsy kid who started several years ago that was admirable but didn't belong starting as a RB.

It will be Daniels until Daniels gets hurt in game 2. Then it will be Wadley until Wadley gets hurt in game 3. Then it will be Mitchell in game 4. Then Wadley will come back and start game 5, and will have his annual 200 yard game against NW. Then Wadley will start but get hurt again in game 6. Then some no-name freshman will start game 7. Then Daniels will come back and start games 8 and 9. Then Wadley will start game 10. Daniels game 11, Mitchell game 12, Wadley game 13, then Daniels games 14 and 15.
Daniels (the rb) will be gone in 2017.

Daniels is shockingly fast when healthy. It is really startling seeing someone that big move that fast. I have seen him run a 4.4 40yd (hand-timed, so take with a grain of salt). So it is not a matter of not having DI speed. He has had some bad injury luck; I also think he is the type of back who looks better the more carries he gets. If he has a mostly healthy season of being the lead back, I think many will feel silly for doubting his talent.

I agree that we have a lot of talent, and KF doesn't play a lot of frosh but I think Eno plays. You can never have enough RB. I'm guessing he plays the role of akrum 2015.
It all depends on Eno adjusting to D1 football, very difficult transition. I would love to see it, because it would mean he is pretty gosh darn good!

I was speaking historically and the predictability has been a problem. Sorry you can't notice things CJ is the reason the lanes were opened up last year. It pulls the linebackers off playing the run. Historically speaking, play the run and you beat the Hawks. Not with CJ, not with Banks. My comment wasn't a knock on the line. It was a critique of play calling. Maybe you haven't been following the Hawks under KF very long. Iowa has had an amazing number of RB injuries. Some in part is due to play calling and failure to carve out running lanes.

The pass blocking wasn't that bad last year. The Hawks lacked speed at receivers (note RECEIVERS not receiver)
Relax, man you take this too personally.

I really like Daniels, just need to keep him healthy. He is a beast!

take a look at the pictures of Toks in the Hawkeye Sports website. That's not your ordinary freshman. He's built like a brick shithouse. If he moves as well as people are saying...injuries aren't going to derail the running game. Iowa has built some nice depth at RB with Daniels, Wadley, Mitchell, and now a few freshmen. They can't all get hurt right?

Wow, it's almost as if you know absolutely nothing about about football......Maybe you're just putting us all on...

Did you do that on purpose?

yeah I was scratching my head a little bit on his comment too. I mean if anything we struggled to pass block last year. But run block? We had 3 different running backs have monster games last year. You just don't do that with an offensive line that doesn't carve out running lanes. Our running backs were good but it's not like we had Barry Sanders, Walter Peyton, and Emmitt Smith back there.

This is my assessment as well. CJ got beat up last year to his credit he didn't get happy feet until the Rose Bowl. Some will argue maybe Iowa could have done some different things schematically in terms of route running for that specific game, but that's not the point.

As for the runningbacks, nothing against Weisman/Coker, but there doesn't seem to be any plodders anymore. Even Daniels when healthy can plant and go. I am not sure if this is a BF influence or not, but they are getting more creative with the run game.

Mitchell is still here, and I don't see him transferring. He's carved himself a nice position as a 3rd down back, and could replace Daniels next year as the power guy to Wadley's speed.

I think Eno redshirts in 2017, as we have those 2 plus Akinribade and Young coming in this year, and assumes the starting role in 2018.

ah, I must of mixed him up with Graham. I remembered a RB transferring earlier this year. I actually forgot about Toks. They've recruited that position hard past 2 years. It'll be fun watching it unfold.

Nice discussion. I suppose you think KF has always been a creative mastermind on offense. I get it. Insult the person you disagree with. Back during the height of the lack of KF offensive ingenuity, Adam Robinson just got the tar beat out of him. It culminated in the MSU game when Iowa had a big lead and they kept sending A Rob straight ahead into and embarrassed and angry D Line. Adam's career really went south after that.

Well first of all, the poster was 'bashing' the coach behind his back, which is quite noble isn't it. Then that poster called someone a jerk, but that's ok, right? But if I call 'him' out, I am bad guy? Lol. It's not a matter of 'agreeing' or not, he doesn't have a clue what he is talking about (wasted years because we didn't have a 'lights out' QB, lol) and wouldn't know how to set up a college offense if his life depended on it, but his ignorant rant (what some of you like to call an opinion) is supposed to be taken seriously? Some come on here and carry on like they have a clue what KF or any of the staff does in a day, week, year....Or that they have a CLUE how to scheme an offense and game plan. It's quite comical to me. It'd be like an a customer service rep going into a operating room and criticizing the surgeon on how he's 'handling' the quadruple bi-pass surgery. Just because you've been to a doctor, doesn't mean you know medicine and just because you watch a football game doesn't mean you 'know' football. I can't figure out why this is so hard for SOME to grasp this concept. The vast majority do, but there are a 'small' minority that want to act like they know what the hell they're talking about and 'sound' important or something and love to run their mouths 'anonymously'....They would get embarrassed in public saying most of what they say, especially in front of someone who does understand some things.......P.S. Just so you know, KF doesn't call plays, he is involved in the game planning and has 'veto' power on the field, so I'm not sure what you're talking about, but apparently you believe that KF's play calling caused Adam to start smoking marijuana??? Got it!

Posters are funny, they think if they guess "run" and the Hawks "run" that all runs are the same. If they guess "pass" and Iowa "passes" they think that makes them predictable. LOL

Brian or Greg put it best in Media days, they like the 21 personnel because they can be multiple out of it, they like to be able to run either direction (and not have the defense stack a side) and dictate where we run. So much more goes into it, than any of us can comprehend.

True. But you don't have to be hawkeyegamefilm to realize that they are less dependent on runningbacks finding cut back lanes.....They are trapping more and pulling guards even a novice like myself can see that. Yeah, I get it, defenses can't overflow to one side. I agree it is far more difficult than most comprehend, but it isn't neurosurgery either. You and Ickehawk aren't shy about calling people out continue to do so I do not mind people having opinions. When I get called out it makes me do my homework, seek more info.
