Kmurp could be assuming Maurice Fleming would be the the next guy in behind Lowery if he hadn't been battling through some sort of injury as well. It's hard to say that for sure, but for much of the spring and fall campI believe he was listed #2.

Yes. I was going off the two deeps for the start of the season. Fleming should be playing, not the frosh. I wonder if Fleming is going to be available in case of injury today? Otherwise, Iowa is down to a walk on (Smith) I think. If he plays, it's trouble.
