What's the most idiotic football comment you've heard this year?

Serious question: does the NCAA allow student-athletes to use potential 'professional' earnings in order to obtain loans from financial institutions?
Doubtful, but there are a plethora of financing options available in the marketplace. The entire subprime credit industry is based on making loans to people who likely can't pay. You collect payments for a year or two, they default, you take the collateral back, sell it, and have made 18% on the note in the interim. Look at the kinds of cars proles drive now. It used to be you'd see an '87 Monte with a touch of rust, a door that was a different color than the rest of the car and know "there goes a prole" but now with the advent of the 7 year car note, 0 down, proles have decent cars based on their ability to float the monthly payment. It ain't the wisest financial strategy, but the proles love it and the car makers love it. And remember, if proles were smart, they wouldn't be proles.

So none of you guys opposing Prez have ever heard of predatory lending? Especially with car loans? Look it up. Or go down and ask Guido at your nearest used car lot.

How did I do Prez? :D
Used to be back in the '90's you could go down to East 14th in Neck Moines and find Honest Donnie and he'd get you set up. He had all the nice cars, Dodge Aries, Buick Century, Ford Topaz, Geo Metro. You wanted it, Honest Donnie would get it for you. The car would carry a heavy note, but that is the nature of the high end used car business.

There are subprime lenders running around. There are all kinds of college kids who have $40k rigs. It's not 1982 anymore, bud.
Yeah, because all of the Bama fans and coaches would really love to hear about how your predatory lending cars to their beloved football players. LMFAO @ You. I'm sure there are plenty of predatory businesses around Iowa City, just bending over our Hawkeyes at every opportunity. Just stop. You're embarrassing me with your nonsense. And that's hard to do.

How long do you think a predatory lender like this would survive around Iowa City, doing those things to Hawkeye football players? Your giving Okeefe extra shovels to dig, isn't gonna help him any.

Look, bud, I'd show you pictures of the Iowa players' cars, but if you google it the only thing get are thousands of stories about "Iowa Football Player Arrested for Getting Into Police Car." Classy program.

Where is Neck Moines?

Hmm, that's actually a pretty good idea. Look at all the parking space they saved with all those scooters. And then making the guys ride around on scooters in November probably toughens them up for playing when it's balls cold outside. Gotta hand it to Ferentz on this one.

I'll take Des Moines over any city in that shit hole state of Alabama. Alabama is Ames South.
Whatever, Birmingham and Neck Moines might as well be clones of each other. And you get down south in Bama and it's on the Gulf of Mexico. Yeah, I'd rather look at the Raccoon River in February than the Gulf of Mexico.
