Former Hawkeye Brandon Scherff retires from NFL

Former Iowa offensive lineman Brandon Scherff is calling it a career. After 10 seasons in the league, the Denison native decided to retire this summer according to his 2025 Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame Spotlight.

Say that reported earlier this week. While the announcement didn't necessarily surprise me the timing of it did, as I wasn't expecting it to come during the preseason, albeit I may have simply missed it being announced earlier. Great Hawkeye. Great career. Great person.
