What's going on over at Cry-fan?

You are obviously making something up because on the replay it only shows the PI. If you go back on your DVR and watch the play in real time you get a clear picture of Meeker blocking Jones. Someone chips Jones to start and then Meeker has him in front of him his hands are inside his frame the whole time and there is no grabbing of the jersey or anything. Meeker simply dominates him, there is no hold there. Maybe the ref thinks he sees something because Jones goes to the turf, its wet and Meeker outweighs him by at least 60 lbs but its a horrible call. If thats wrong someone put a video up that shows something different. If that play is called correctly ISU has the ball on the 20 with a little over 2 minutes left.

Iowa also gets the break on the run by Goodson setting up their last field goal where they completely ignore the block in the back in the backfield. If the penalty is called Iowa is backed up out of field goal range and who knows if they get close enough to try the field goal.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA......The only reason Jones goes to the ground is because 74 has a hold of his jersey as he falls to the ground and he pulls him down so Jones does have a clear path to Purdy. Good and obvious holding call.

@BryceC is see you started a thread saying you were scared of playing Iowa and wanted the game to end because of that. I mean ISU fans pat themselves on the back all the time because the Big12 is "So tough", but you don't want to have to play a Iowa team that we are always told by ISU fans is "overrated"?

If ISU could guarantee that they would always be this good, that is the only way I want this game to keep going. This is a fun game last year and this year when ISU fields a quality team. For both teams losing the game really means nothing. How did this loss hurt ISU in any way, so trying to say it knocks ISU out of the playoff hunt is a joke. ISU still has the Big12 in front of it, and winning or losing this game isn't going to change that.

Reading CryClownfantasies right now is GLORIOUS! I mean seriously I didn't know that ISU was CLEARLY the better team (even though Iowa had to play on the road with tons of weather delays and without nearly 4 key contributors out and 1/2 of its secondary out).

ISU gots it's two scores because Matt Hankins was injured, so congrats on ISU scheming the young DB and taking advantage. Besides that ISU pretty much did nothing all game long, but ISU fans think that ISU dominated the entire game.....LOLOLOL....I am really enjoying swimming in these Clown tears!

Fat Nate was Nimble Nate on some critical third down scrambles.

Just had to get into the end zone once as it turned out. And thank God we did.

Don't think he is fat at all but I do think he wears a ton of pads and braces that do inhibit some of his mobility. He looks stiff and weighed down in my opinion

Refs this,Refs that... How many calls in the game along with hundreds of other games are missed. So the clones didn’t get away with any penalties at all.. C’mon man. Own the defeat. Ya think maybe the boneheaded turbo dr where ISU teammate is attacking his own teammate could be the reason they lost

The side ref was consistently spotting Iowa a foot to even a full yard short (Smith hurdle). In a one point game, obviously ever inch matters. That’s football. Winners don’t whine about it and write letters to the conference, they keep playing.

The only ones not blaming the refs...are saying that ISU would have won without the weather delays.

Add a new one to the clown excuse list

Still lots of Fat Nate jokes.

This whole Nate is fat thing is baffling. I think it’s purely a cyclone message board thing. I’ve seen nothing about it on twitter and didn’t see any signs mentioning it on gameday, or at least any prominently displayed signs. You’d think if it were really an issue Randy Peterson would have mentioned it by now

Is it an ironic fat thing? It must be a cyclone thing.

During the broadcast the announcers said they talk to Heacock the ISU D Cordinator. He says he doesn't care about the yards given up, he said tell me what you did in the red zone and on 3rd down. According to Heacock Iowa's defense was better yesterday than ISU's.

yeah on the replay where they showed the pi, you can clearly see the hold is pretty egregious

the block in the back was incidental and they didn't call that all game on either team throughout the game. there were several isu runs to that left side where a similar block to occurred to the back but didn't get called because of its incidental nature.
when watching the replay of the pi, I clearly saw the hold, agree to disagree I guess.
either way the original assertion that refs decided this game is ridiculous, they weren't a major factor in the game in any context. 2 turnovers to 0 was the only deciding factor. the turnover in the first half created probably a 10 point swing since isu was just walking down the field with no answer at the time of the purdy fumble, and then obviously the botched punt was the play of the game. blaming refs for this one is foolish.

Both were terrible when it counted.

Mistake-free special teams from Iowa and mongoloidian special teams from Lames was the difference. Skin that cat 10 different ways and it still comes out as special teams play being the winner.

Nate’s 3rd and 22 shot and his other nice throws are great, but he had just as many misses (the cause of those misses is irrelevant). The Hawkeyes plain lose this game if Duncan isn’t perfect or Sleep-Dalton punts like Bruce Jr.

And just for the homerish rubes out there who told the rest of us that the Rastetter thing wasn’t worth freaking out over, do you see the past two games how fucking important a good kicker and punter is???

It's up there with UCLA fans chanting "Carfino, you're ugly" in a game at Pauley Pavilion many years ago.

It's pretty harmless stuff. No worse than B1G basketball fans who used to razz Bobby Knight about his gut, Bill Frieder about his nose, or Lou Henson about his hairpiece.

Yeah, it's sort of nice to have a good punter. It can affect games even at the high school level.

Put Rastetter out there and that last punt, just to point out one, barely reaches the 35 yard line. And ISU is two decent pass completions, three at the most, from legit FG range.

Trust me it's in the Kool aid over there!

Just looking at posts on Cyclone Fanatic- and I saw this (under post Cocky Hawk Fans):

"I know every fan base has a-holes, but seems Iowa has more of them. Last night while leaving the stadium, had a teenage or early 20 something in a group of Hawk fans hold up his hand and say, “High five, in a row!!” Showed him my middle finger.

And of course this morning at Hy-Vee the Hawk jerseys and t-shirts were out in full force. Lots of condescending smirks too.

Damn I hate the Iowa game. Every year. Wouldn’t bother me to play someone else. A guaranteed win. Rant over. And $#@% the Hawks. Hope they lose every game."

So, curious who the "a-hole" is.....someone holding up a full hand for a "high five", or the response of one finger? By the way, DexterHawk, nice response you posted in that thread...........
