It's a very close call. In all fairness, if we were on the receiving end of this call, we probably would be analyzing it ad nauseam as well.
The key is whether the tackle had hold of the jersey and used that leverage to throw Jones to the ground. As Jones first hits the ground it does look like the tackle has his jersey then lets go as Jones rolls away. The problem is that the guard's double-team shove also could have caused that momentum, so it's impossible to say.
As stated correctly above, the officials make these calls in real time. In the moment, it would be pretty easy to throw the flag in that scenario, and - the majority of the the time - they will.
I will add that our pass rush stunk on that play. We were so concerned about Purdy taking off that we let him sit back there in a rocking chair and survey the field in about as comfortable a pocket as you can have.
