We have earned the right to feel awesome and super special. It took alot of back breaking work to get there but it feels good at the top! We sneer at all the proles in MLB except for the Yankees who buy teams to win which doesn't really count.

Demonstrably true, at least in my life experiences.
I grew up in illannoy as a Cubs fan, and once I got to Iowa, I was exposed to Cardinals fans. Yikes.
Then I lived in Rhode Island for several years, which, while it leans Red Sox, is also full of Yankmees fans. Double Yikes.

Actually they lost the series because they crapped the bed and couldn't play D. The Giants sacked up and made defensive play after defensive play. The Giants straight chinsacked the Cards and I loved it!!!

While I don't disagree that defensive lapses certainly didn't help, and SF was much better defensively, when you have a 3-1 lead, you cannot take your foot off the gas. The Cards did, and they paid for it. Go watch game 5. Lance Lynn gives up two hits to start the fourth inning. When did he have trouble in game 1. That's right, the fourth inning. Difference is, Cardinals led 6-0 when he ran into trouble. He struggled the entire second half going deep into games. This wasn't new. You have to manage that situation with a plan, and be ready to pull the plug. Tony LaRussa would have been ready to pull Lynn in this situation. Matheny wasn't and didn't, and that four-run inning was the difference. No sense of urgency. STL played the final 3 games as if they were magically going to rally and win.
