Welsh, J. Daniels Listed as Starters on new Two-Deep

You are "message board people". Nothing more, despite what the guys at the coffee shop tell ya.

What's funny is he says some incredibly stupid stuff. Stuff that can make you question if he has any idea what so ever what he's talking about. Yet in his mind, he's so right that anyone who disagrees is an idiot. He has had probably 1000 posts directed towards him already where people disagree with him yet I've never seen him give a single inch. People change my mind quite a bit on here and make me see things different. But not him. He's 100% right and you're 100% idiot every single time. The entire message board population is stupid and he's brilliant.

Someone posted where Bower graded out the worst of all the linebackers, yet this one guy says he plays good while Jewell "chases ghosts". So now there are two people who evaluate for a living and about 50 people or so that have posted here on one side, and here's Ickehawk all by himself on the other yelling abut how everyone else is an idiot.

I've never understood how people can think so differently than everyone else on something, but never look in the mirror and see if maybe he's the one who's wrong. If I were in an argument with 10 other people all telling me I was wrong, I would at least contemplate the possibility that I was.

I'm guessing he's single. Seems like a bitter man.

Message board people are truly a special and rare breed. I have the same conversations with 10 people a day about this stuff, and they 'respect' what I tell them and I rarely have anyone argue and resort to childishness. You people know NOTHING about football, seriously, NOTHING. The sad part is you never will, because you THINK you do.

Wow, is this serious? If you don't understand the difference between interacting with people on an everyday basis, and interacting on a message board, then maybe this place isn't for you. Since you don't seem to understand the difference, let me explain it for you.

1) You are a complete and total dick to anyone with a differing opinion than you. Do you act this way to people face to face? I seriously doubt it, and that is probably why people "respect" you face to face, because you make solid points, and your are NOT a dick about it.
2) Nobody knows who you are. You claim to have this vast knowledge of football and everyone else doesn't know shat, but how do we know who you are? You won't post your name, you haven't been vetted by the sites owner/mod, so we have no clue if you are a 68 year old housewife from Sheboygen, or if you are Nick Saben, or more than likely something in between. I'm guessing a HS football coach, but not much more than that.
3) Your football knowledge have proven to be hit or miss on here. You point out some very good X's and O's at times, then you drop idiotic stuff like this:

A) CJ didn't win us any games in '15, it was only the D that won the games
B) Jake was just as good as CJ and could have done what CJ did in '15 (even though he was a career 14-11 as a starter compared to CJ's 15-3)
C) Bowers hasn't made any bad play so far this year, always in position, always doing his job
D) CJ cost us the game vs NDSU
E) I'm sure I'm missing several more.

I'll connect the dots. When he talks about things that people on here understand, he sounds like an idiot. When he throws out a bunch of terms and talks about things we don't understand, he sounds smart because we don't know enough to disagree.

When he talks to the one guy on here who understands what he's saying (Gamefilm) he gets called out for not having a clue what he's talking about. Seems to me he sounds like an idiot no matter what he says, as long as you have the knowledge to follow his post.

Hell the only thing he ever said that you agreed with was it's OK to attack posters who call out coaches and players. But that was stupid too because that wasn't even what he was ever doing. He was attacking people who weren't even talking about coaches or players, then lying about why he attacked them. Kinda like he lies about never attacking first. If you can find one post of his that can be confirmed accurate, I'll be impressed.

I, like you. don't always have to have someone agree with me to see their side, or understand that they are making good points. If you look past some of the attacks he does make some solid points. He has also left me scratching my head when he digs into his position and isn't flexible at all (his stance on CJ and Jake could have done just as well, and the D being the reason for our '15 season, etc.).

I'm sure he probably has but most of what he says is pretty off base. I think he's one of those guys who likes to argue against conventional wisdom. He argues for the worst players and against the best ones.

He's a passive aggressive contrarian. He loves the attention and craves validation, and lashes out when he doesn't get it.

He does seem to know some x's and o's, but that is completely hidden by the other garbage.

There is a difference between. Knowing x's and o's and knowing how to talk x's and o's. He knows how to talk them for sure. I'm not so sure he actually knows them tho.

With KF it's hard to distinguish between KFism and practicality. It does make sense from my experience that a player not practicing is more prone to injury than if they'd been practicing. Then again KF has his things that lead to an unusual number of "bad" losses. He is not an elite coach by my standards. In the past 10 years one would be hard pressed to consider him above average factoring out cupcakes. Then 2015 stares one in the face....

Kirk Ferentz has had teams catch lightening in a bottle at perfect times in his coaching tenure. Right when you think boy the ride is over, miraculously the team goes 11-1, 10-2 or 12-0, to give him a few more years. Unfortunately, between those years are many .500 seasons with many of the wins being lesser out of conference wins. his coaching career has really been anomaly.

Are you a high school football coach?

Truthfully, I don't mind Icke at all. Sure I don't agree with everything, but he brings entertainment to a lot of threads (that quickly get out of hand) and also unites the masses and brings those that can't tolerate him closer together.

It's a message board!!! I just sit back, enjoy the ride, and get the popcorn ready for the next explosion.

Side note: I also find some of what he says fascinating.

He mentioned coaching an ex or current Hawkeye and 1-2 other college players. I honestly feel he was either a youth coach that happened to "coach" when the players were younger or a junior high coach or something. Maybe an assistant. Who really knows as he doesn't offer where or any specifics.

I can take him as I can block him out when I need to. He's a personality.
