Wegher to put on the pads again.

This isn't the first ex division 1 player morningside has found a way to get eligible in football. I played baseball at morningside and saw it with a wr that they had for one year. I would be surprised if wegher makes it through this year of school.

BW has the physical abilities and the football talent, or at least had. From a fitness and preparation standpoint, I have real questions about where he's at. After rigorous training and practice in Iowa City to get ready to play NCAA D-1 football four years ago, he has been away from the game for quite a while and his head has been elsewhere. I guess I would agree with you; I would be surprised to see him make it through the season.

I have no idea what he's been up to. Do you? He may have been preparing for a return or he may have been sitting around. Do you have any inside info to share with the rest of us?

i have some info, but it's not secret knowledge. apparently he's been working out and getting in shape for at least the last 6 months. from what i hear, he doesn't look out of shape at all, but practice really only just got started.

i know some on here like to hate on Wegher, but i've got no ill will. hopefully he uses this situation to get his crap together. bummer it didn't work out at Iowa. he would have graduated by now.

Big game this weekend, can't wait to see Morningside versus Grandview with EVERYTHING ON THE LINE!

I have talked to Wegher personally and he said himself "I loved playing football at Iowa that's all I ever wanted to do, that's why I went there. However I didn't want to go to school at Iowa or antwhere for t hat matter". I guess he forgot that those two things go hand in hand......lol.

Lets just make sure Iowa get his little bro down in Florida they are calling him Johnny Football jr.

I loved watching him and Adam Robinson play. Not the biggest or fastest, bit those guys could just play ball. Still disappointed in how things shook out, but thrilled BW has gotten back on track. There but for the Grace of God go I. I am sure the rest of u were saints at 19, but I was not during my years in Iowa City. Was just lucky enough to not crap out on many fronts.
