I have talked to Wegher personally and he said himself "I loved playing football at Iowa that's all I ever wanted to do, that's why I went there. However I didn't want to go to school at Iowa or antwhere for t hat matter". I guess he forgot that those two things go hand in hand......lol.

From everything I have heard he didn't really go to school in hs.

he definitely wasn't a scholar at Heelan. oh well, i'm cheering for him to turn it around. from what i hear, his goal this year was to get some good game film and see what he might be able to get as far as a football contract in the Canadian league. didn't come back to finish college. at least that's what i've heard.

#2 Grand View will play for a national championship. The undefeated Vikings blew out #5 Morningside 35-0 Saturday in the NAIA Semifinals at Williams Stadium in Des Moines. Grand View (13-0) now faces Cumberlands, KY (13-0) Sat., Dec 21 in Rome, Georgia in the NAIA Championship Game.

"It's emotional," said coach Mike Woodley. "To see what these young men have accomplished, it has just been an amazing run."

This is just the sixth year for Grand View's football team, which had never won a playoff game prior to this year. Brady Roland had 7 catches for 146 yards and 2 TDs in Saturday's win.

"It was pretty obvious who the better football team was." said Woodley. "No doubt our kids came ready to play. They have gotten up for every big game of the year."
