1. Didn't Ferentz have to be pulled back at one point during the Nebraska game? I seem to remember people talking about that around here.

2. The only family Tom has on the bench is Terry. You really think there's going to be a whole lot of restraint going on there?

I don't get the jabs over Rhoads' behavior on the sidelines. First of all, people ***** because Ferentz doesn't show any emotion all the time. Secondly, who the **** cares if it might be embarrassing for Iowa State? That concerns us how, exactly? And lastly, we have coaches who look just as comical, and they are every bit as high-profile.
 
This guy has got to remember the number 1 rule of Fight Club, is to not talk about Fight Club (senior division).

Someone ought to post over on cyclonenation what procedures and protocols are in place to protect Iowa's locker room from the theft. I'd give the over/under on being banned at 5 minutes.

Pulled back from maybe getting a 15 yard unsportsmanlike maybe. Definitely not because somebody thought he was going to physcially confront an official. Whoads should maybe keep his hillbilly old man off the sidelines or at least out of the press if he doesnt want info like that out in public.

He was probably just flexing his old man muscles on the 6'5" athletic kid that threw down the meaningless dunk as time was expiring...
 
At what point did Rhoads admit he was going to throw a punch (or anything of the sort), or for that matter, when did his dad say he thought that's what Paul would do? Ferentz would almost certainly have earned the same 15-yard penalty, had he not been pulled back (I believe it was after the offsetting personal foul/unsportsmanlike conduct penalties). He sure looked pretty set on confronting the official and giving him an earful. But don't let facts get in the way of your black and gold glasses-induced haze.

I'll give it to you that wrestling coaches are a different breed. But the Brands are typically seen as pretty extreme, even within that world.

And I fully understand fans wanting to take shots. What I don't get is fans picking something like this to shoot at. Why take shots at Rhoads' behavior when we've got Brand and Fran (or vice versa)? There are plenty of targets to choose from. Why not pick one we don't share?

I'm simply shocked by this and don't remember this incident at all. The behavior in and of itself isn't shocking, it's the fact that anyone actually cares that much about anything Iowa State related. How is that possible?

I love the circa 1965 Sweatshirt his wife has on too. Very nice and supportive honey...now I'm going to go kick the **** out of the opposing coach for daring to beat us.

There was only one comment that regarded coaches at either school until you came in flaming on Fran, KF, and Brands. Up until that point the discussion was in regards to a pretty heavy donor at ISU who needed to be controlled by a policeman. Maybe you didn't realize you were logged into HN and thought you were still at CyFan. Maybe you should sprint back over there.

Yeah, and the gist was "What do you expect? When you look at Rhoads, it's no surprise they have fans who will do something like this."

But I suppose we've all slammed our share of chairs.
