Urban only get's 3 game suspension, Geesshh!

We're playing on an uneven field, kids. We're banning guys for a game for TRYING NOT TO DRIVE DRUNK, and aOSU is giving three games to a HEAD COACH who intentionally protected a wife beater and ignored Title IX (which is apparently only a sacred cow when it's eliminating men's tennis programs across the country).

But I'm sure Jim Delaney will step in and fix thiAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA sorry I crack myself up he's swimming in B1G Network money like Scrooge McDuck.
I'm in no way sticking up for Urban Meyer but all major universities are guilty of stuff like this. Football is king and unless something happens where a crime was committed (in this case nobody has been convicted of a crime and both parties have alleged physical abuse by their spouse) people are going to walk about with a slap on the wrist.

This even happens at Iowa. In 1998 Eric Thigpen got in trouble for roughing up his girlfriend and Fry didn't do a thing to him.
Joe Mixon punched that chick so hard her kids are going to have a tilt when they walk and Boob Stoops swept it under the rug and tried to lie it away. And everyone here worships that shit pile.

None of this stuff should surprise any of you, and crying about it is hypocritical (myself included) because 99% of us pay hundreds or thousands every year to keep the machine chugging along.

I looked at 11 Warriors. 99 percent make Urban the victim. KF wouldnt get that high as some really dont like him.

Times have changed and will continue to change. A signicant number make Courtney the villian.

Fry is right about who is to blame.

That said just 50 years ago common pysch thought was that some abuse was good for marriage. We'vecome a long way. A long way to go.

OSU made Urban almost untouchable w that contract. These have to stop.

At least OSU is exposing themselves which is a far cry from Baylor and even MSU.

That one reporter who asked Urban if he knew of the texts that his wife received from Smith's wife, and Urban said "I never knew of those texts." How can Urban expect anyone to believe this?!?!?
Yeah there was no following up on that questioning at all they ended it all there. After all this hoopla they never got to the bottom of when did he find out about those?? No Fn way can he in one breath say back in 09 or whatever that he and his wife helped them with marriage counseling and then say when his wife got those pics in 15 or whenever that she never showed them to him or spoke to him about it...

I guess we need to remember that this is the result of OSU investigating OSU... It just is. I mean that Mary investigator chic couldn't even use the word lie to describe what Meyer did on Media days. She wants us to believe that he didn't 'intentionally' try to mislead... Well that's what lying is!!!! There's no spinning what he said or how he meant it. So as far as I'm concerned punish him how you see fit it's your program. Just don't pee on me and tell me it's raining.

Its going to be fun watching Urban squirm all season during press conferences. All of the fOSU fans are going to be screaming "fake news" when the truth is right in front of their face. This is the world we live in today....bury head in sand

Honestly, I'm not annoyed at the suspension. I never expected him to get fired.

What I'm annoyed about is the response. Urb just showed zero, I mean zero remorse for anything. Zac Smith's lawyer's statement is just breathtaking in the #metoo era. I just can't believe how callous some people are being about a horrible situation and trying to make the woman look bad. Listen she can be totally insane. Nobody deserves domestic violence.

ESPN'S Paul Finebaum said watching Urban read his written letter was like he had someone holding a gun to his head. He said Urban came off as if he was expecting nothing would happen to him and he acted like a spoiled child when he got the suspension and it showed in the presser. Gene Smith should have been fired, OSU has had a lot of bad publicity in a number of sports now under his watch

He’ll stonewall and walk out. They’re required to talk to media but no one says what they have to talk about.

He’s just there so he don’t get fined...

This isn't over yet folx. Its not over yet.

pop some popcorn because the show is getting ready to start.
I bet it is. His contract is up at the end of 2020. He’ll just pull a Bob Stoops and retire so he doesn’t have to answer for his hot garbage mistakes.

When asked what he would say to Courtney Smith, he replied, "I would say I'm sorry we're in this situation."
So in his mind, he is now just as much a victim as she.

My gawd, has this man no humanity??
Yeah I think he was forced to say something like that. I think OSUs lawyers and legal department didn't want him admitting to a single thing in regards to her. They don't want her coming at them for anything and for this to go away. That's a hell of a way to treat someone he was supposedly helping give marriage counseling to years ago..

People ask why she didn't leave. She was terrified of him, she made it clear. Also abuse victims develop a strange way of relating for survival. Courtney also was afraid of losing her kids as she had no money and Zach did (as well as well off friends in the event of a divorce/custody battle. The full texting between UM's wife and her is very sad.

There are also allegations of sexual impropriety in other sports at Ohio State (like at MSU) . This is bigger than the Athletic Department.

Title IX law suit will be filed soon around the Urban's Handling. trust me this aint over.

How the media hasn't made a bigger issue over the fact that there's no way Urban didn't know about those is beyond me. So his wife who has been friends with Courtney for YEARS receives those texts and communicates back to her with her concern for her chose not to tell Urban anything about it.. They helped them with marriage counseling (to whatever degree that was) along with just the years on years period of time they all knew each other just makes his story of 'not knowing' about them total BS. Maybe that was apart of his 'forgetting' of stuff that they mentioned due to whatever meds he's on. I mean if his memory is that bad that can't be a good thing for a football coach at this level they might want to revisit that line of thinking...

Well that was the easy part. "The" Ohio State board of Trustees do an "investigation", they slap Urban's wrist. He takes a little public humiliation, then it's back to Buckeye football! Nothing to see here! Laughable comedy. No lack of ethical conduct worth more than say, 3 non conference games. Hopefully Urban and Smith can get partial unemployment. My only hope is a recruit or two parents actually find this repulsive and don't invite Urban and company into their living rooms. Who am I kidding? Most of them would probable send them to Hitler youth camp if it would help their pro chances. Wow, am I cynic or a realist? I don't know anymore.

Investigation = Let's figure out a way we get out of this mess!

Depends on the coach. Most are dispensable. If it were Luke Frickel or Greg Schiano as the head coach, they'd be gone. OSU was going to figure out a way to retain Meyer, whatever they had to do or say.
