If it is actually health reasons then Urban and his family have my deepest sympathies. I've followed him since he's been at Utah. I've thought he is the best coach in college over the last 7 years.

But here's my conspiracy theory: This is the smoke screen. Come black Monday in the NFL Urban will release a statement that Cleveland has contact him. He is itching to get back into the game.

Urban is such a great coach that I think he's actually looking out for Florida right now. They need prepare for his departure and he is so aggressive that he wants to get going.

Again this is me going out on a huge limb with this prediction, but that's what I'm doing.

If the story plays out like it should for his health reasons there is no way he is coaching in the NFL. The NFL is a hell of a lot more demanding than college football. The question is when he feels healthy enough where does he end up? Only time will tell.

Florida coach replacement rumors

Clock it...rumors begin on ESPN at 6:53 p.m. Dec. 16
Stoops brothers mentioned, Winningham mentioned. No Kirk.

Can you photoshop Chuck and Mangino onto those very large twins riding mopeds since I think it might be best if they join forces Wonder Twins style.

He could be "retiring" to get in front of a story involving illegal activities, a'la Tim Floyd at USC, but not to go to the NFL. He could go to the NFL whenever he wanted.

Gene Chizik has done a good job turning around Auburn. He is ready to take another step up.
 
I have never been an Urban Meyer (The Coach) fan, but I certainly hope that this is nothing serious that is not correctable. I wish him the best.

On a side note this should make quite the story lines for the Bowl game.
 
I know it may be health reasons and hopefully he does get it corrected, but something has to be going on behind the scenes???? Why would he leave, guy is only 45 and is the top 5 coach every year. I say he signs with a NFL team or some type of recruiting infraction.
