Think of 2 way contracts as players #16 & #17 on 15 man NBA rosters. Their pay scale gets prorated based on how many days he spends in the NBA...which is capped. It's somewhere in-between a signed player and an unsigned player.
Burton and Niang recently had 2-way deals. You can't do two way deals after 4 years of service
The sorta downside with 2-ways is you can't sign the somewhat lucrative 10 day contracts, and one team owns your rights and other teams can't call you up.
Overall though, this is pretty huge for TC.
Michael Porter Jr and Bol Bol are pretty injury-prone. We could see TC getting some games in the Show next season.
