Two more gone

If I was a recruit, I would seriously be looking for anywhere but Nebraska.
Not saying it out of malice, just that place is a dumpster fire in the middle of nowhere.

I only see two games Nebraska will be favored in, Bethune Cookman and Illinois, so they are in danger of going 2-10. Maybe 4-8 at best. It will be interesting to see how many recruits flip. btw, Their highest rated recruit, Nick Henrich LB from Omaha rated 5.9 by Rivals now, had Iowa as a top contender.

Jesus. For one thing we put far more in the NFL.
For another thing, like I said, that program is in the crapper.
Personally, I would take an offer from Mn, or Isu before Braska. I'm serious.
We all know Iowa puts more in the pros, but you would have a hard time selling me on hitching my wagon to Frost and Nebraska.

We do have a pretty good record of putting LBs in the NFL. When you think about the recent starters at LB going back to 2013, most of them got at least a look in the NFL. Jewel, Neimann, Hitchens, and Kirksey are on teams. Morris was there for a while. Bo Bower got a look. Kirksey and Hitchens are each making about $9 million a year.

Tip on posting...it's always good to offer more information not less and ensure your thread title has some discernible correlation to your actual post.

You will also not see this post in the "dumbest football comment" thread if you tighten things up a little. Like maybe mentioning what recruits they lost or something.

It would be like saying, "I was at a restaurant the other day and went to the bathroom. I then saw some guy wiping his butt with his bare hands. When I then returned to my table, I saw the same guy making tacos in the kitchen." What piece of information is missing?

Bell was a much bally-hooed Frost JUCO recruit. The narrative had been "Riley's weak players are leaving". Now Frost is losing his own guys.

Frost is the weak link in that program. I wonder how many years it will take them to realize this.

2 players - Greg Bell and Tyjon Lindsey left the Nebraska program THIS week - both contributors. Nebraska media is stating it's because of the new 4 game rule.

Thank you for reading his mind. Fridays I am a bit slower to do that myself.

Right on about Bell. Lindsey was clearly a high-star bust, but Bell looked to be a decent between the tackles runner who appeared to have a future there. Bad optics for Scotty.

Uhhhh, you guys remember what Kirk's record was in his first year at Iowa? 1-10. The difference here is that Frost is 1/2 year removed from leading his team to 13-0 season. Kirk was 1/2 year away from being an obscure O-Line coach.

Despite the "wheels falling off" at Nebraska while Iowa is on the rise, Frost already has commitments from 5 4**** recruits for next year. Kirk, with a lifetime contract and a potential 10 win season, has 0 4**** commits for next year.

If you love Kirk, it's pretty hard to throw shade at Neb right now. Frost didn't suddenly forget how to coach. It takes years to build a program, not weeks.

Thanks InGoodCo. Something is rotten in Big Red Country. Guys ain't buying in like Scott promised.
If this is accurate, and it certainly appears to be so, I'll admit that I'm giddy as a school girl about watching their season disintegrate. Will it fall apart enough prior to Bethune? If they somehow lose to them, they'll be looking at a winless season.

Ok...lets see how excited the five 4 star recruits are to play for a 3-9 or maybe a 2-10 team. You can point to Kirks first year, and compare them...but unlike Iowa fans when Kirk started, we weren't making it sound like we had a shot to win a B10 title. Everyone is now saying, oh, Scott has to build the program and that takes years. That dumbass fanbase over there was convinced there was no rebuilding to do. Scott would just coach them up. His offense is going to absolutely change the way defenses in the B10 play...blah, blah, blah...no one will be able to stop them...blah, blah, blah.

Give me a break IowaLawIsWrong, they deserve all the shade we can find right now and then some. The whole freaking administration has had their head in the sand and living in a delusional state for years.

It wouldn't surprise me if some guys who played for the first four games of the season for the Hawks decide to take their redshirt year and or transfer. After the Wisconsin game with all the goals for the season ruined I can't blame them.

Dumb!

There should be a copy and paste feature on this board that automatically moves comments to the "dumbest comment" thread. I hate having to copy and paste all the time.
