I was being a bit facetious there, and in no way am I defending any over-the-top strong-arm tactics Trump may employ.I get what you are saying, but that was.a social pressure, not a governmental pressure. No one was threatening to pull FCC licenses, and there was no politically aligned billionaire suggesting he might buy dissenting media outlets and turn them into his own personal mouthpieces. I anticipate the argument that there was correspondence between government and major social media platforms around subjects such as COVID-19 and election related misinformation...we can reasonably discuss whether that crosses a line. But that is orders of magnitude different from some of what is currently being floated.
That said, I think you are greatly underestimating/downplaying the role the Biden administration played in pushing several woke agendas. I could easily attach link after link of examples of governmental "pressure," but don't really see the point.
