Katte Martin and the W expansion draft

The WNBA will hold their expansion draft for the new Golden State team on December 6. Each team has submitted their list of six protected players, but the lists haven't been made public yet.

There is some discussion as to whether or not Kate Martin will be protected by the Las Vegas Aces and a case is being made she should be.

Megan Gustafson is not projected to be protected, and I could see her being drafted.

I like Kate Martin, but I don't expect her to be protected and I dont expect her to be taken in the expansion draft. There are better players available.

One thing I didn't agree with the Aces' projected list is why would they protect Kiah Stokes. I monitored the Aces box scores somewhat over the past season and Kiah doesn't score much, doesn't get many rebounds. Why protect her?
