Transcript: Kirk Ferentz Discusses Outback Bowl Loss

The only, and I mean only, thing I see when I read this blurb is a rich, unaccountable old man who's been in his position way too long, has zero fire to win, and just got $2.9 million in bonus money by shitting in his bed. Absolutely no emotion other than his "that's the way it goes, our kids played hard, I'm proud of our seniors," form letter bullshit.

We have only the donors to blame folks. You and I would do the same thing if we were Ferentz, unfortunately.

Such is the state of this state.

Spot on!

Like I said in one of my posts today........We've gone as far as we're going to go with Kirk Ferentz as our head coach.

If anyone thinks he will take the Iowa Football program to a higher level, you are sadly mistaken. We have been and will continue to be stuck in this stale, boring brand of mediocre football under his leadership.

Why is an 85 yard TD play the game changer? Its college football. offense is king. Teams score points in bunches all the time.
Oh yeah, our offense sucks.

So frustrating. that a play that makes fora 10-3 half time deficit is a huge game changer. F that.

Time for a change!

Of course it was a game changer just like McSorley throwing two interceptions on PSU's first 2 possessions and USC going up 13-0 was a game changer.

Oh wait, guess not. PSU decided to tighten up the chin straps and play hard ball with USC by scoring TD's on 7 consecutive possessions.

That's the difference in losing attitude (KF) and a winning attitude (Franklin). Or, that's KF knowing his offense completely sucks.

Since Nebraska won back to back in 1995-96 ....show me where you would expect Iowa to appear on this list? Do you HONESTLY think it can be done here?

Ohio State x2...Michigan x1..what do all of those schools have in common on that list? Blue bloods. What do you expect? No Wisconsin...no Michigan State..no Illinois...no North Carolina..no Boise State...no Kansas State...no Missouri..no Indiana...no other school other than the big boys. Who on here to expects someone to do better. Only about 12 schools have won it all. I'll take the bowl games. Occasional 10 win season. Heck last year 12. Careful what you wish for. You can hope for Iowa to do better. Look at the list. Who is your miracle worker? Are we even back to Tom Davis level basketball yet? How long did that great decision take to almost get back to the level we had under Davis? He's not getting us to the next level. We don't just want to be respected. We lost 15 years of basketball save a season or two.

As for playing CJ...You "owe it to him"?!! ... what about the rest of the guys on the roster? Screw them and your best chance to win? JFC... this salvation army cub scout approach to player management is getting really old.

More like, "Little snot nose had it comin'to him! After the way he and his pop publicly forced my hand a couple years ago ... He deserved that beating,"

I'll say it again...

You are not a football fan.

You are a casual observer. This place is made up of people who think your kind are gigantic shit bags and I don't need to qualify that statement. All you need to do is look at the responses to your ridiculous posts. "Fans" like you are the absolute bottom feeders of college football. There are places for people who are fine with mediocrity called the NIT and the Foster Farms Bowl. None of us here are ok with that because we love our teams, and skid marks like you should probably just join a Rutgers or ISU board. You'd be welcomed with open arms and fit right in.

One other thing before I go...

You spouted off about how you were a football coach for 15 years. There's no way my kid would ever play a sport for someone with your kind of shit attitude who's ok with losing ball games and mediocrity. In fact, none of the coaches I've met at any level would ever admit to that kind of thinking. If you really were a coach (which I doubt anyway), you should probably be embarrassed that you ever stepped on a field.

Who are these big donors? Maybe it's time we paid them a visit. get to the source of our problems and work out some frustration of our own. It certainly can't hurt the situation, can it?

Monsanto is the one to blame for all of this. Lol. Barta had them empty their chemicals right into the Iowa City water tower. :D

Grow up. Your best argument is to call me another poster? Really? Good one. In the words of the great Rocky Balboa: Its not how hard you get hit, but how hard you get hit and keep moving forward.

I'm staggered by your tactics...I wasn't sure I was going to get up..but then I heard that music..and I'm...gonna...fly now! Lol

When did we play in the Foster Farms Bowl? Lol. You make these broad sweeping statements about Iowa football being terrible under Ferentz. 36-13 in the past 4 seasons. All-time top 30. If that's mediocre...God help us all.
