Tracking Iowa's RPI, KenPom, & Sagarin

I'll take this as admission you were wrong......not that we didn't all already know this, it always just takes you awhile to catch up with the rest of us.

I didn't give them enough credit and I was wrong about that. I think I've been right about our defensive play in conference as not really being improved. Also if give up 100 to Memphis today it's not going to look near as bad as it did a month ago

I can't break it down from a certain date unfortunately. They have a total stats, and then conference game stats, so that is why I could list it that way.

I gotcha. I'd imagine it's pretty good since that was around the time 56 was bringing it up that it was in the 90s. That number has improved a lot since then.

56 had to have cringed when he saw that 152 number. Long season to go and I'm sure there will be some rough patches, but it's hard to see how someone couldn't like this kids potential.

Why would I cringe? I'd much rather Bohannon play well and be wrong than the other way around.

We played 2 top 20 Kenpom offenses in the first two B1G games. Things will look much better after this weekend.

I love the fact he is #4 in the B1G in 2 pt FG%........56's favorite stat to bust on Jordan with.

It kind of goes along with the fact that everyone around here knows you're not an Iowa fan.

Half the people think I'm a Dirty 30 Alt, the other half think I'm an ISU and Twins fan. Luckily I don't care what you guys think. I think I have a higher basketball IQ than most people on here and I doubt you care that I think that either

Those numbers I listed off weren't adjusted Defense numbers, or not as far as I can tell anyway.

These numbers aren't adjusted? If that's the case then I don't feel like I was wrong in the first place

Stetson = 89.5
ISU = 88.5
UNI = 70.3
North Dakota = 96.8
Del. St. = 72.2
Purdue = 113.4
Michigan = 117.3

You were absolutely wrong. How can you say that holding the #19 and #18 offenses to a 113 and 117 defensive rating isn't much better than giving up a 131 and 126 rating vs the #124 O and the #62 O?

Well here is an update for today:

KenPom: 75
Sagarin: 77 (dropped 1)
RPI: 155 (dropped 9)

ISU and ND's RPI both jumped but apparently our other opponents must have fallen even more.

KenPom doesn't do anything that isn't adjusted. The only reason they are 131 to 126 is because it is higher based on their AdjO

You don't listen, and you have no clue. Once you start navigating around the kenpom site, it does have per game efficiencies. This is how they come up with adjusted efficiencies. It also lists RAW Defensive eff. and ADj Defensive eff.

I understand how KenPom works. Everything is adjusted based on who you're playing and tempo which is why it is so good and so accurate

Kenpom has a RAW Defensive efficiency rating. That is the efficiency ratings that I gave you all added up and divided by games play. It is 102.1 for Iowa.

Kenpom also has an ADj Defensive rating, and that is at 101.5 for Iowa

Iowa has a RAW offensive efficiency of 109 and an ADj offensive efficiency of 110.5

You don't know what you are talking about.
