Tracking 2014 Class Offers

Sorry I haven't been posting much this week. I've been busy with finals, which are pretty time intensive in my program. A couple of updates:
Rivals and ESPN are reporting that Iowa has offered Florida DB Duke Dawson and St. Louis RB Markel Smith. Smith is a Mizzou commit. Dawson has offers from a number of schools right now, including Florida and FSU.

Markel Smith's Sophomore video:

Please take all this to redhawks thread, as that is the official 2014 offer update thread this one is just garbage compared to that piece of work.

both threads are good to have. I will post updated stats such as Weights, Heights and star rankings something Jumper does not have the extra time for, as long he does not care,
it stupid to put either thread down, with your childish responses.

How was it a childish response? I said nothing that was untrue and you know it herb.

The problem is heights, weights, star rankings, 40 times all vary greatly between each site, and you have even said so. And to be honest, none of that really matters. All that matters is who has an Iowa offer, Iowa interest, and commits/signs with Iowa. The rest is just fluff, that we know you love to throw around herbs, but doesn't mean that much.

without the stars how do you guage the classes, the 05 class was top 10 because of the star ranking.
the 2007 class was ranked in the top 30 becasuse of the stars
the 2011 class was rated a top 30 class because of the stars
as for the height, weight and 40 times there is no way to judge the players, or for people to get a visual image of a player,
each piece of info help in getting a visual image. why do you hate this so much?

He hates you, not the recruiting services. Havent figured that out yet?

First of all I don't hate them, I just don't place as much value in them as you do.

I judge the class when they graduate from Iowa. That is when you know if it was successful or not. It doesn't matter what stars a player has if Iowa gets them or not. If they come to Iowa they do, if they don't they don't.

Height and weight are nice, but when judging highschool players they don't always tell you that much.

6'3" 200 lb WR
5'8" 180 lb DB
6'7"230lb TE
6'5" 300 DL
6'6" 290 OL
6'1" 230 DE

Now if you looked just at that you would love some of their measureables but wouldn't like some of the other ones
Don Shumpert 3*
Bob Sanders 2*
Robert Gallery 2*
Carl Davis 3*
Dan Doering 5*
Mike Daniels 2*

I'm not saying that stars don't matter and that it isn't nice to have guys with good measurables, but they don't always tell the whole story on players. Of course I've cherry picked these examples, but you do it all the time, so its ok. So when you come on here and tell me that we are recruiting a WR that is 6'4", 220 lbs, well he could be the next Calvin Johnson, or the Higsby. I don't know. That's why though it is nice to say, yeah we got that guy and he's a 4*, it doesn't matter until he's playing on the field at Kinnick.

There's a transfer from UNI that's coming to Iowa in January. Chad Gilson LB. Has to sit out this yr but when the 3 current starters graduate he could fill in for a year. He's a 6' 225-230 Lb. Not the fastest kid but very tough nosed and technically sound. He was defensive player of the year at Urbandale his jr yr. He also played qb his sr yr and threw passes to another LB on Iowa, Perry. He was a wr that year. I'm not sure how our LBs behind the top 4 are looking but Chad could be a great fit for a year. He's going to walk on and could play Mike or Leo. He's really good at covering on special teams too.

Could he not make it at UNI? But he expects to come play here?

Did you not watch the hawks this year. This is a completely plausible situation.
Really? Cause I'm pretty sure we beat the UNI team this guy didn't start on. LOL unless your this kid's dad or something, it must be really hard to justify this argument.

Well I was being sarcastic, which obviously you didn't get, so I don't really need to justify it because it was a joke, so I will now not justify my actions any further, and if you need any further justification, I suggest you just stick your head up your butt.

You don't need to justify your actions so much that you go on a rant about not justifying your actions. That's pretty sweet brah.

Here's an early Christmas present for you
