80-RB Jeff Jones
83-OT Jamarco Jones
91-ATH Allen Lazard
92-OT Roderick Johnson

187-ATH Jay Scheel
200-WR Dominique Booth
206-TE Nic Weishar
221-LB Brandon Lee
227-S Brandon Simmons
243-OT Orlando Brown

Wow, shocking to see Orlando Brown that low considering his size, bloodlines, and all of the trips he's been taking. I would have thought he would have been a Top 10 type of player.

I saw Jay Scheel walking the sidelines at the Kids day practice with his Mom. He sounds like a good kid that would fit in perfect with the Hawks.

RB Christian McCaffrey and Valor Christian are playing on ESPN3 right now. They are tied with Mullen (CO) 7-7 in the 2nd.

Just saw a tweet from 247 that Pierschebacher is going to visit Iowa this fall. I got all excited at first until I realized that the kid is 18 months away from signing. This early commitment stuff has me all mixed up.

Here are a few new Iowa offers that have come in the past few weeks:
RB Mikale Wilbon, De La Salle Institute, Chicago
QB Clayton Thorson, Wheaton (IL) North
S Jamal Adams, Hebron (Carrollton, TX)

Ya know there is a lot of good HS ball in CO. I know of a few schools other then Valor who have some very good talent. I was talking to a friend of mine that played OL for Miami about the local talent out here (he was born and raised here). We were talking about a potential future hot spot of talent and he said, thats right you just have to know where to look. Some of the coaching going on is the best I have ever seen in HS ball.

Ross Pierschbacher@RossP71 Leaving South Bend with a scholarship offer! #GoIrish

What does everyone think about this? Numerous posters on here have said that he's an Iowa lock. I'm sure he's excited to have an Irish offer, and that it's further validation of his skills/talents, but anyone think he might leave the state?

I'm of the opinion that he goes to Iowa because they want him at OT. I think most everyone else will see him as a guard due to his height. They may tell him OT, but then switch him I don't know. Iowa has so much success at OL and I have heard he's an Iowa fan, so hopefully that is enough. You never do know, but hopefully Iowa can keep being successful this year with the OL and he wants to come to Iowa. I'd say 80% to Iowa.

Thanks for the info, Farmer. I too would think with Iowa's success of putting lineman into the NFL that he'd be a lock, but like you said you never know. You know much about Scheel? He's another kid I'd love to see Iowa land, and would hate to see become a Clown.

I don't know much about Scheel, but like you said he's a kid I'd love to see Iowa get. I think he'd be the dual threat QB we haven't seen in a while. Not sold on his arm 100%, but I think he has the tools. I read somewhere he was likely being looked at as a WR by both Iowa and ISU. Hope the hawks can land him cause I think he'd be a special athlete at either position.

Rivals is now reporting an offer to safety Edward Paris of Mansfield (TX) Timberview. He has dozens of BCS offers including Texas, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, and a lot of others.
