Top 10 most under rated Hawkeye Bball players in history

Monter Glasper
JR Koch- was a 2nd round draft pick and stuck in the NBA for a few years
Mike Henderson
Chauncey Leslie

I will mention Kevin Kunnert (because he is from Dubuque). He played from 70-71 through 72-73. 12th pick in the first round of the NBA draft in 1973. Iowa's 2nd leading career rebounder who only played 3 years (freshmen were not eligible back then). Here's a small article about where he is now from July.

Where Are They Now? Kevin Kunnert | Hawk Central

Bill Jones is my vote. The guy was a defensive machine. Later after college he proved he could be a scorer as well...

Russ Millard was the name that immediately came to mind. Also, James Winters and Duez Henderson.

Bill Jones
Kevin Gamble

John Lickliter

It's hard for a McDonald's All-American to be underrated.

Kenyon was loved in his time here. On his senior night the fans stormed the court to celebrate a victory over Purdue with him.

Kenyon was a four year letterwinner at Iowa, but how many All Big Ten teams was he selected to?

I have to put Fonda Dix on the list. She played for the women's team. I'm not sure what kind of player she was but I'm sure she was underrated.

Kyle Galloway FTW.

I found a picture of him

Kevin Boyle has been mentioned so I’ll go with some others on the final four team.
Kenny Arnold
Vince Brookings
Steve Krafison (sp)
Mark Gannon
Others would include
Kevin Gamble
Steve Carfino
Bruce (Sky) King
Andre Banks
And if any of you remember Connie Hawkins he went to Iowa. Freshmen were not allowed to play varsity back then but the freshmen games were a sellout that year I heard, no I didn’t see him play. For you young guys he was Dr. J before Dr. J

I didn't know that he was the reason that there is a Hawkins drive in Iowa City. Pretty cool actually. I see he was involved in a scandal of some kind and it appears that he may have been screwed over. That's something that I would like to read more about.

There is some info on Connie Hawkins and the scandle in this link.

NBA.com: Connie Hawkins Bio

My father used to tell a story about Connie being able to dribble toward the basket with a ball in each hand, palm them both up off the dribble and dunk them one after the other in a single motion. He said it was the most amazing thing he had ever seen on a basketball court.

BTW, I have a hard time believing Hawkins Drive is named for this Hawkins.
