You say this will be your first game? I think you will be fortunate and not see what we are talking about. Go to a regular season game once and you will see what we are complaining about. I got seats at the very top row and still got told by a couple of old farts sitting in chairs above me to sit down. One of them complained all game long even when I stood while everyone else was standing. I did sit when everyone else was sitting.

But tonights crowd will be different, you may not have these issues.

Interesting the topic turned to sitting versus standing. My two cents: If you are the ONLY person standing in your section and you continue to stand -- well ... maybe sitting is your best bet. Or, if the person behind you is elderly and has difficulty standing.

Otherwise, have at it. Stand and cheer as loud as you want. It's a game.

Sorry, I kinda got the ball rolling on this. I just think tonights crowd might be different, it should be really fun.

I just did a ticket check, section E is now filling up. Row 36 is the best you can get. It is filling up!

I was at the Wisconsin game which was pretty loud but tonight is going to be insane.

There are 5 of us going from the Quad Cities but it's going to be tight to get there by tip. None of us can get off until 5pm and we are leaving from Davenport at 5:15 we hope. We are going to get there as fast and as safe as possible.

So excited for this game.

Should I be allowed to bring and use an umbrella to a game if it's raining? Should I be allowed to bring and use a zuzuvela? Should you be allowed to smoke in your seat?

Buying a ticket to a game does not permit you to do anything you want in that seat. Kinnick is not complete anarchy (thanks to two star stan). There are rules, both imposed by the U, and societal rules imposed by everyone else, that govern proper behaviour. Do you have the right to stand the etnire game long? Sure, but if you do so while knowing full well that your acitons reduce the enjoyment of those around you how can you be anything other than a self centered ashole?

If you legitimately can't see whats going on then by all means go for it, but you clearly stated you stand the whole time just to stand because it's your ticket and you'll do what you want.

I hope the team comes ready to play tonight, because I believe the crowd is going to be fantastic. May not be a sellout, but the fans that are there will be engaged and loud.

Hopefully Barta and the Athletic dept is taking good care of the ticket office staff. Sounds like that team has worked around the clock to keep up with the demand to ensure the arena is packed tonight.

i was going to try and make it but my son has to work and couldn't get it off, but i will be watching, he is going to work a table that has a TV by it, as he works at a casino, and ussually work at a craps table or a dealer, Go Hawks hope its a sellout, and to getting LSU in the 2nd rd for another home game.

I must've lucked out because I just got two tickets in section A, row 20. I wasn't planning to go, but when I saw that I had to make the purchase. I'm pumped!

I just checked out where 2 tickets would be and it looks like rows 11-15 are opening up.

I tried several orders and those rows all came up.

Still good seats left it looks like! Made sure to clear them out since I got mine yesterday.

Yep, it's all about YOU. Obviously YOUR ticket gives YOU the right to do whatever YOU want.....

As for everyone else...screw them. Only YOUR ticket matters. Your ticket confers upon YOU special rights and privileges that others don't have.

It's because of idiots like you that I end up having to stand for 3 hours at a concert. Why is it so hard for you to understand that if we all sit down, we can all see!! Stadium seating is designed for this very purpose, just so we can all get to see, not just the people in front! Neat!
