Maybe you should just watch the game and not worry about everyone else.Same thing happens at football games.
Kinda hard when your in my way trying to leave. How about if you just watch the game at home?

Well said sir. I had some people behind my football seats that used to tell people to sit down. I just dont respond. I sit at the half and thats it. They stopped trying to get my attention years ago. Last couple of years they just get a good view of the back of me for the parts of the game they dont want to stand for.You bring up an interesting point,I try to get to a nonconference game or 2 a year with my kids and I have ran into the "sit on their hand dont be to loud=" so called fans and I must say it can be very frustrating! I feel like when as a fan you are watching your favorite team(Go Hawks!) it is the duty of the home fans to make it a home court advantage! If people want to watch a live basketball game in person and act like they are in a movie theater they should stay home and watch in the quiet of their living room! Unfortunatly for me, I must work on Wednsday morning at 5:50 am and cant make it to the game having a 2hr 45min drive from IC to my home. I will be yelling and cheering our beloved Hawks on from home, those that do get to go to the game please as true Hawk fans do your part to make Carver Hawkeye Arena rock and help send the Dayton Flyers home with a loss tomarow night. GO HAWKS!!!! rwtsracefan(Dan Wemett)
CSB, makes you looked like am enormous dbag, but still CSB.
Hahaha and Im the dbag?
I mean... yeah. You stand the entire game knowing full well that it reduces the enjoyment/experience of those fans behind you that can't/don't do the same. How is that not d-baggy?
It's a pretty simple deal, most fans get it. They stand to cheer after a good play and they stand when the person in front of them stands, usually during big plays. I've never seen a single person complain about people standing in front of them if they are courteous and using common sense (not saying it's never happened, just saying I've never seen it).
If you are standing just to stand, even when those around you arent, you are being a complete as5. If you want to stand the whole game go sit in the student section, there are plenty of good seats to be had there, and they only sit during TV timeout's and inbetween quarters/halfs.

What really gets me is they all get up with about 3 minutes left to go in the game to beat the rush.
If I was trying to be a duffbag I would stand at the half. I pay for my ticket and I will stand if and for how long I want. I want to be able to see.I mean... yeah. I never could understand this except to think that some so called fans just want to be seen at the game. They think of the game as some sort of picnic event.
I stay to the end of bball and football games because if we are way ahead or behind I want to see and cheer for the second and third stringers.
I was one of the 4000 idiots who stayed to the end of last fall's tenn tech monsoon just to watch the reserves.
That's all fine and dandy, but it don't make you less of a dbag. Again if those in front of you stand and obstruct your view by all means stand, if they aren't don't.
I was at that game, first game ever for my young ones. It sucked, we had to leave. Now they are not all that excited to ever go again.
BTW Duff, I am the real d-bag. I bought all 4 of the young boys (8/9 yr olds) who were with me at the NW game those foam #1 fingers. They were waving them all game, theboat can verify. I think he got hit in the head a couple of times.
I am not trying to be a dbag to anyone. If people see me as a dbag for standing then so be it. I like to be able to see the sidelines and the reactions of both sides. I like to be able to see the whole field and my seats are on the side at the goal line so by standing I can see all of those things. I dont yell at anyone to stand up and be loud(which when this is done makes Kinnick one of the hardest places to play). So I dont want anyone to tell me to sit down. People can leave early or show up late, they can sit or they can stand, be loud or sit and listen to your radio. Do what you want everyone paid for their ticket. I think that view is opposite of being a dbag.
