I think we need to petition the B10 to chalk this game up as a loss. We don't deserve the win, hopefully the B10 will correct this error

If we hit closer to 70% of our FTs and put more effort into the hustle plays (they out-rebounded us) we win this game by 25 pts. Those are things that can be fixed but it's going to take some mental toughness to fix them. The question is: how long will it take this team to get mentally tough enough to fix things?

Maybe over exaggerating in my statement, but Iowa's effort (or concentration, timing, mental toughness, or whatever you want to call it) tonight if repeated against future opponents in the Big Ten (strong or otherwise) is going to hurt them. If they want to be the team they want to be, it has to be better than tonight. That is the point. But a win is a win, so learn from it and move on.

Exactly. If John Wooden was coaching this team you better believe he would have Sam Gilbert looking for some new players after tonight and you know the price would be right.

Good idea. Don't waste all of your good ideas here. Save them up and send them directly to the BIG office. They deserve a bigger stage.

What about Gable? Would he be out buying new wrestlers too?

That's OK because 99.9% of Americans couldn't carry Gable's jock strap. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that. You're too busy making excuses. Something Gable wouldn't know anything about.

I don't believe that celebrating a victory in the Big Ten, under any circumstances, is worthy of disdain.....

Begs the question: What is a Fan.....

Perhaps someone who supports the team through thick and thin.....

Ohio State barely beat Purdue last night, take them down from the top of the B1G since they barely won, oh and also Penn State had Michigan State close the whole game too, they shouldn't be considered in the elite either. Oh and Illinois hung with Indiana and took it to OT.

Ohio St and MSU both won on the road and controlled both games in the 2nd half. If we are comparing apples to apples their wins yesterday were more impressive.

It is great we won and nobody is questioning celebrating a victory. It is the performance that is being analyzed along with the bad tendencies we keep seeing out of this team that could cost us future games.

Thanks lightning. Some people can't see the real argument being discussed. The performance last night (along with several of our other games this year and going back to last year) I think go beyond being off for x amount of time. I think we are seeing a pattern here. I hope not, but I think there are some real chinks in the armor. It does not mean we are not a good team, we are, but they have to clean up a number of things if they want to really contend for the Big Ten title and a higher seed in the Big Dance. And they need to do it quick.
