The World Did Not End!

Lost in the offensive struggles was a terrific effort. Michigan's season was at the brink. They had to earn that win.

While as fans you can be critical and boisterous, but there is no reason to be ashamed. That stadium was loud and affecting Iowa's offense.

Time to chill and hope for better results at home.

Yeah our offense looked like Nebraska's did against OSU.
Oh wait Nebraska scored 7. (Probably less trips to their 40 yard line too.)

Loud? Are you serious?

One could excuse the score of the ISU game, due to many factors.
Not so much with this game.
This game was a tell of how much "improvement" our offense has over last year.

With even a "modestly efficient" offense, Iowa should have won this thing going away...21-10.

SCum isn't all that. Not impressed at all.

Sorry, no bright spots that I can see.

The other thing is the B1G took another reputation hit with a turd-game like this.

No it did not end but the performance is not what you would expect from a veteran staff, an offensive coordinator that isn't afraid to tell you how much experience he has and a senior QB that has won a lot of games. Couple that with a really good performance by a shorthanded Defense it was disappointing because even how poor the offense played they were still in the game because the defense and special teams played well

I just don't get what goes on with this staff from week to week. Even though everyone say Iowa knows who they are, then why as fans are we always questioning and anxious about what team and staff will show up to the game? If they know who they are and have an identity why is there always this lack of consistency at times?

For having a 3rd year starting Qb, 3 points was unacceptable in this spot.
I've been saying this about Stanley for a long time.

Nice guy. Works hard. Good Hawk representative. Decent game manager. Big stats.

However, disappears during big games. Can't win a big game. Costs us big games. People will not really remember him after his career despite his yards/TDs. Big game wins gets you in the history books. He's an oh-for in the department IMO.

I will give him the Ohio St game. He looked all-world there. Nothing was on the line, but he (along with his supporting cast) destroyed the Big Ten Champion. He has had some good games against the Clowns.....which are big games to the Clowns.

But, yes, when he goes on the road in a Big game, he shits his pants. Madison will be no different.

In twenty years, when the next QB with a pulse comes along to approach Iowa passing records, no one will remember when Nate Stanley played or what he accomplished. That's the best definition of Stanley I can give.

This program will always be a middle of the road program as long as Kirk or any other members of his family is coaching this team.

Luckily there is a bright spot for Kirk and family. Our fan base has got to one of the most alternative life style fan bases in America. Awe golly It was a good effort boys.

We just need to play three more puke weak teams so Kirky can get his seven wins and come back and do it again and again.

It’s all this fan base demands and deserves. Both locker rooms should be painted pink.

You know I have pointed this out over and over again. When it really counts we are AWOL.

Lost in all the talk about the play calling, NS, and the Oline, which were all bad, is the sad fact that our WRs still really cannot create separation on the edge. Smith made a nice contested catch but for the most part these guys struggled to get open. Also we’ve gotten nothing out of our TEs.

Greg Davis got a boner today watching the Iowa game.

Imagine Rickey Stanzi (probably my favorite "modern day" Hawk QB) in today's scenario. (I don't remember or care where he ended up on the Iowa all-time QB stat lists).....

however.....I do remember this...

He would have said "fuk it" we're going to win this SOB and by Gawd he would have willed Iowa down the field. I saw him do it so many times. Turn over amnesia. A warrior. A Leader. A winner. Man we miss that on offense.

That is why him breaking Chuck's TD record might be the most insignificant and irrelevant, dare I say undeserving, accomplishment ever. Chuck was magical and a true gamer. Nate just isn't close. People will remember the OSU victory but what else?

Absolutely correct!!!!

Now who is responsible for the offense? Where does buck stop? Who also responsible for the over all quality of the team?

It appears the apple doesn’t fall fair from the tree. THE DAMN TREE NEEDS TO BE CHOPPED DOWN. Oh but golly the tree is cute to the pink locker room crowd.
