The weather outside is frightful, IA injuries are not delightful, let it snow Maryland Game Thread

Great win but a lot of things had to go just right for this victory. First, we still had 18 TOs but they had 17, Garza & Weiskamp score 47, the rest of the team scored 20, and MD shot 32% and 18% from 3. Super happy about the outcome, but don't expect many more wins like this. Other guys need to step up and JT can't have so many TOs (5 in 16 minutes)

Can I get a blue ribbon too?
You get a trophy instead......

Just like a lot of things had to go just wrong to lose the other night.

Good home win. Beat minny by 20 last home conference game. Maryland by 18 with a depleted roster. Iowa will be tough at home this season. Need a couple good wins on the road.

Ooohhh-kaaaay

what do we need to make the NCAA Tournament, about 10-11 more wins?

As bad as the nebby loss was...was basically neutralized by this win.

Iowa has 4 straight winnable games coming up. I doubt they win all 4 but if they do they're in great shape. Losing to NW would be an epic disaster

It is really sleeting in Eastern IA right now. Couldn't imagine going out in this weather. The ground is becoming a sheet of ice. It's almost rush hour, there are going to be so many accidents. I-380 an I-80 will be littered with cars in the ditch
I just got back from a double overtime game in Fennimore, Wisconsin. It took about four more overtimes to get home.

45mph. Max. And I drive for a living.

Great rebound win for the team. Wieskamp played with a newly found intensity, and Garza (as usual) was outstanding.

What impressed me the most was the improved defensive effort. Our inside players contested every shot, and the perimeter players were active with the feet and especially the hands. Maryland could never get into a rhythm.

Hopefully, we can learn from the last two games (good and bad) and keep the momentum going.

You are clueless.
I think you misunderstood his post. With Bohannon back next year, he will either have to sit or a starter from this year will have to sit. There's Garza, Wieskamp, CJ, Connor, and Joe T. Who will sit?

Full disclosure. When I was typing this, I had it in my head that we had 5 really good starters and Connor was easily the worst. But that was only the case if Bohannon was already playing. As it is right now, it would obviously be Joe T coming off the bench. I'm excited as hell at the idea of Nunge subbing for Garza and Joe T subbing in at PG. If Patrick can get healthy and play close to his recruiting ranking, he will be a great wing sub. If not, we have 4 options at freshmen who can hopefully be really good.
