THE CJB HATE HAS GOTTEN TO BE TOO MUCH. I'm gonna have to ban some of you.

Last year was a total team effort, but to think that CJ didn't play a huge role, would be as stupid as saying Kind and Jewell didn't play huge roles on the defensive side. Two games for sure CJ made HUGE winning type plays in these games late:

-Iowa was in a dogfight with ISU last year until CJB made a great throw rolling out to his left against his body to Riley in the endzone for the TD.
-Iowa was in a dogfight with Pitt last year. CJB ran, scrambled, fought and clawed to get the team into FG range, so that MK could do what he did as time expired.

The offensive line has been patchwork at best all season long. Daniels, Welsh missing games. Croston out for the year, Ike missing games. I mean the pass pro has been horrendous. Even with the patchwork line, when CJB had Vandeberg and Kittle the passing game was ok. When MV and GK went down, the passing game went down the toilet. And yes some of that blame rests on CJ's shoulders and some on the WR and some on the OL.

Dean, you giving icky pants way too much of your effort. the only response he is worthy of is "learn the game". he's worth nothing more.

Icky, there is someone who needs to go more than GD or CJ. Learn the game. Learn humanity. Learn not to be stupid. Learn not to be a narcissist. Learn not to be dumb.
I know most of you are 'fanstasy football' lovers, and you're also 'fantasy fans'. Now go make your trades or go play videos on you puter, have your tantrums and whine, etc... and leave 'real' football to us that know.

Agreed. As is Ferentz and the WRs and other stuff. But that doesn't change the fact that CJ is not the same QB above the shoulder pads as he was last year. There are many excuses for that, but ultimately it's his noggin he is responsible for.

Davis needed to go after year one.

Check his stats against Nebraska. Come on, admit you've been too hard on him.

CJB has not had the year expected but with a line of four guards and a center with a group of receivers not capable to run a G Davis offense most would have issues. He obviously is not close to 100% physically. On top of it all, he has been dealing with a couple off the field complications.

One game does not a season make. He is a qb that is truly dependent on others. I thought he could be the playmaker, but he just isn't that. He does well when Iowa runs for 250+ yards though.

He is definitely no Drew Tate

You're not taking into consideration all the things working against him. Beside, he won more games than Rudock in 2015, and JR had more weapons to work with. I think if KF had made CJB the starter back in 2014 you'd have different feelings for him because he would've produced like Stanzi over a 3 year period.

QB rating of 136 last year and 130 this year. He's the same quarterback

True, but I would be curious to see how many 1st downs he picked up last year with he feet vs. last year. maybe it's not as much as I think, but I remember him keeping a few key drives going on few very close games. a few more first down here and there, at key times...who knows.

I think my feelings are just fine.
