Shrinking possessions by putting pressure on your offense to do something with 8 seconds on the shot clock has not worked.

Well you know how Imfeel about this subject as I have stated it several times. I dont know if this is a pig headed pride issue with Fran or what? Totally agree with DD here.

Ya, I was counting the seconds on several of their players and I got up to 5 a couple of times. Is it even a thing anymore, it's never called?

I posted about a month ago. It doesn't get called in high school that much anymore either and a couple refs that I have talked to shrug their shoulders as if to say it's not a point of emphasis anymore.

I also said that if I'm a high school coach, I'm planting my post players ass down there every night until they call it.

Maybe with the evolution of the game and the disappearance of the back to the basket player just not emphasized anymore and widely ignored.

While I think Fran has more than enough pride, I don’t think that’s why he isn’t trying something different. It’s just that he can’t go against his own grain. Some people are built flexible; some aren’t.

We have a coach that has the personality/makeup that won’t let him change.

Doesn’t mean he’s bad, arrogant, or lazy.

Does mean he’s a bad endgame coach. And that’s not going to change until:

1. He’s got talent that can overcome it

2. Gives control of the end game to an assistant or

3. Listens to a different assistant.

Ehh.. defense was good enough for the most part... someone has to make fucking shots.

Shit gets old. Shooting a basketball is not as hard as we make it.

Throwing up airballs at this stage of your basketball career is almost inconceivable.
