Edited to remove my lies. The Iowa/ISU game is gonna crash servers somewhere.
There’s definitely money to be made on that one, just don’t ask me which side

We can bet on in state teams. The only thing restricted is in-game props for Iowa teams. We can’t legally bet on instate teams, or prop bets (in response to one of your other posts).
Nope, I was mistaken. Thanks for the info!We can bet on in state teams. The only thing restricted is in-game props for Iowa teams.
So, we can bet on win/lose, O/U, win totals, and anything else for Iowa/ISU/UNI/Drake, just not the in game props in any game involving an Iowa team.
Prop bets for any other college or pro game are totally legal.
Sorry if that’s what you meant, I might not have understood you 100%. I’m kinda dumb, just ask around.
Just gotta keep it sane. Here’s my take....Don't ask because you have no idea, or because you have an inside source?
Sports gambling sounds like a hoot...except the first time I lost money, I would be guilt-ridden for a week straight, and I think I have a tendency toward addiction. I have sworn to give up Hawkeye message boards many times, only to come crawling back.
I wish I could have put just a little bit of money on my Browns a few months ago. Now the hype train has completely blown up and the payout isn't so great.
That'll happen when they put bikini dancers in the corners where they have those weeds growing.
Although...The average age of attendees at an Iowa basketball game is 79; they’d probably sell out every game if they could get Maude and Elaine to sit down at a nickel slot. Old Women luv slot machines!
Bus ‘em in by the hundreds and offer a nooner, and a free wet t-shirt contest entry on their birthday when they put at least $10 a month on their Carver Hawkeye Player Points Rewards Card.
They already have a rule that no standing or yelling is allowed at CHA, they might as well cater to their demographic.
I'm not big on gambling, especially sports but man, the one time I went to Vegas I made close to $1000 playing blackjack, that was pretty fun for me. That's really the only time I've gambled in a Casino, would never do slots. The best thing about sports betting is that it gives you a rooting interest in every team you support. I dont think anything beats March Madness for this - if you have a dog in the fight it makes the games a lot more enjoyable. It's hard for me to watch sports where I have a neutral interest - when I don't care who wins? Do ya'll feel the same?Just gotta keep it sane. Here’s my take....
Anyone who bets on sports relatively intelligently (not homer betting, dropping $200 because you got a gut feeling, etc) should break slightly under even in the long run. This isn’t blackjack or slot machines where you’re guaranteed to lose. There is information available to everyone which is what makes it fun. If you bet $1,000 in say a two year period, and end up $200 down (and had fun doing it), that’s $8.33 a month that it cost you.
I have zero interest in gambling on casino games. None. I’ve spent exactly $40 in my life on a casino floor, stuck it in a slot machine and it vanished in 30 seconds. I literally have no clue what thrill people get from it.
Nothing wrong with that.I don't think I will be betting too often or at all, to be honest.
There was a photo finish at Dubuque Greyhound Greyhound Park many years ago. It wasn't an ordinary photo finish-it took about eleven minutes to figure out who got second. When you've got a potential big quinela win on the line, that seemed like about three days. It was also the second half of the quinela double so that was in play. When they finally made it official, it was the biggest adrenaline rush in the world. For about $60, which was a big deal to a college age kid in 1985. I have never forgot that rush, which came after eleven minutes of barely being able to breathe. The andrenaline rush is real when you have a successful night gambling. I am just going to wager low dollar amounts. I have enough faith in myself that I can stick to low dollar amounts.
Let’s just say I am going to be a baller on a budget.
Which is your favorite of those offerings?
Clown fans are eating it up on Twitter that we’re the dogs.

14.5 against Mich seems like a lot. Our D isn't gonna collapse. Mich went to spread offense yes, but will it click well in year 1?
Maybe they're expecting the Michigan defense to find the end zone a few times.
Nah, there's no crystal ball involved. It's just guys pulling a number such as 3, 7, 10, 14, 21, etc. out of their butts and then adding a .5 to it.
