so not recruiting an actual point guard this year?

Very true. White is 2nd all time in points scored but I wouldn't put him in the top 20 of best offensive players. Also the less you shoot, the more you pass. The more you pass, the more assists you will make. For a guy who played as many minutes as he did, he didn't shoot very much, which means he passes a lot. I just rarely thought "nice pass" from him.

Mike's ppg average last year would be third on the team this year behind Jok and Cook

Here's a thought. If we could replace JB with MG or AC, I would bet our record would be the same right now. If we replaced Cook with Woody, our record would probably be the same right now. If we could replace Baer or Uhl or Pemsl with Uthoff, we would have one loss at the most and would be competing for a Big 10 championship.

Also you could flip it and put JB on last year's team in place of MG or AC. Or put Cook in place of Woody. We would be very similar. But take away Uthoff in place of anyone and we are NIT at best.

People can say we miss Mike or miss Woody (there are parts of their game we do miss). But the difference between last year and this year is not having our All American.

If we had Mike or Sapp on this team I don't think we lose to Memphis, maybe don't lose Seton Hall either

That's definitely possible. Our interior defense was so bad it would have been tough for either to sway the outcome tho. And if it would have been a close game, we know what would have happened. There were some bad turnovers for easy buckets that might not have happened. That might have helped with momentum.

Our perimeter defense was really bad too

Agreed. But one good perimeter defender out of 3 (with absolutely no help inside) wouldn't have helped much. Some, but not much.

It's not like we got blown out in those games and that's just talking defense. CW and Bohannon combined for 7 points on 3-13 shooting and 6 turnovers against Memphis. They combined for 9 points on 2-8 shooting and 6 turnovers against Seton Hall

JBo is going to be a PG at this level. He has no other choice due to his size. And so what if he's not your traditional PG style.

He doesn't have to create as much with the dribble drive as some other traditional PGs. He creates opportunities for his teammates by not allowing his man or zone defenses to sag off him. Nobody guarded Mike Gesell last year. The opposing defender sagged to about the free throw line just daring him to shoot the outside 3 which really limits the driving lanes. Opposing defenders won't be able to do that with Jordan.

Mikes offensive efficiency is his worse year is much better than Bohannon's now. Also Memphis is not going to be a border line NCAA team this year

Mike's Stats through his first 7 games against these whooper of teams (UNC Wilmingston, Omaha, MD-E Shore, Abil Christian, Penn, Xavier, UTEP)

24 Assists
37 Points

Jordan through 7 games playing 3 NCAA teams, and 3 cupcakes

32 Assists
54 Points

Mike got to play 6 cupcakes and 1 NCAA team, so one would think he should have been more dominate. Either way my point is Jordan is more than holding his own. My guess is you will continue to spout off that he "isn't a PG" even while he puts up Mike G. Junior year type of numbers at the PG position.

Mike had 25 assists actually but you forgot to add Mike had 4 turnovers through the first 7 games and Jordan has 16

Maybe PC can come and post CW's stats compared to those two since he was so high on him before the season

And that and defense is why he isn't doing way better than Mike did. With an equal schedule it would even look worse for you.

I'm not even sure if Mike played good defense his first 7 games or not.

I will admit it is looking more and more like I was wrong on my CW prediction. The way Fran talks about him needing to be more aggressive makes me wonder if he is like Uthoff. Too passive to show his true ability.

I didn't forget to add anything. I post points and assists. There are lots and lots of stats I left out, I only posted two of them.

Listen just admit you were a stupid shit that jumped to conclusions about Jordan before the season. He already looks like he belongs, and should only get better. Sure Mike might have protected the ball through 7 games betters (against ultra weak competition), and is a better defender, but Jordan will score more, create offense for himself and others better.

Just let this one die early and fast 56. The longer you try to hold onto the whole "Bohannon" sucks thing, the more others will think you are a troll, and the harder I will rub this in when it becomes so painfully obvious that even you have to relent on your shit about him.

So you're right?

I would say so far I am. Our PG position has been bad offensively and very bad defensively and we're 3-4 right now. Hopefully they both continue to improve and I end up wrong but Bohannon has a 9.1 PER right now which is extremely poor

You even brought up his PER which is 9.1 and you think he looks like he belongs? If anything I think his defense is worse than I expected so far and he's only shooting 29% on the season
