I didn't call him stupid, I called him slimy. He knows how to work a bag man.

Look, let's just cut through the crap cake here. Ulis was close with a bunch of UK recruits. He saw what kind of "perks" they were getting, and he wanted his piece of the pie. As far as I am concerned, Squid did us a favor by buying off this punk and saving us the drama. Besides, a 155lbs PG won't last a month on the B1G. So screw him.

DIDN'T

WANT

HIM

ANYWAYS

I don't see any surprised reactions. Just mild disappointment.

O really.....Read above

If someone told me I had to bet $10,000 on which school I would have to put the money on Kentucky. Would love to be wrong. I was right on Woodbury and Gesell and on the offensive lineman switching to Alabama. I believe in the law of averages so it's time for getting this one wrong. Think Iowa, Iowa, Iowa, Iowa.

Damn that college statistics class!!! :(

"Everything changed when Kentucky offered," Ulis said. "That's just
where my heart was. If they hadn't have come into the picture I might
have ended up at Iowa."

I have a feeling when Calipari recruits over him and his playing time diminishes he will find out his new coach has the same integrity as he does.

how does Ulis not have integrity? seriously, settle down and move on. no need to bang on the kid for choosing an elite program.

This is all about money and playing in the NBA and nothing else. It's not about loyalty and appreciation for a Big Ten coach who stepped forward and recognized the talent this kid had before few others noticed him. They had said how important it was to feel comfortable with the coach and their coaching staff and then went with the Johny come lately instead of one of two coaches who spent countless hours and personal time towards this young man. Then there was the issue of not letting Illinois into the recruiting process but allowing Kentucky to do it. I knew that the father was recruiting Kentucky to recruit his son. When I heard that I knew if Kentucky offered there was little chance for Iowa or MSU. I am not shocked or disappointed by the kids choice. Whether he will get to play much at Kentucky or not will remain to be seen. The writer of the article explained why he felt they were hypocritical. Where there is hypocrisy there is no integrity. They are opposites of each other. They should have just been honest and said that the coach and program that get us to the NBA the fastest is the way we want to go. Could have saved Fran and company a lot of time and effort.
