Shimonek leads team to state title game.

how did their running back look as he went into the game needed just 86 yards to go over 2000 on the season rushing and he is just a JR.

Not good. As a team, Mildred had -13 yards rushing in the first half. They were a little better in the second but not much. Mostly, their lines, on both offensive and defense, got manhandled all night.

thx's that is the one. I just can't post links that actually work
as for the Championship game Mildred was a 21 point underdog
4 year starter over 8000 yards passing over 1000 yards rushing in his career
with his team getting 3830 yards rushing + 2550 yards passing for over 6385 total yards and 100 TD's total this season alone

So wheres the one that said Texas recruited him at SS?

why would I make it up? you mad because Iowa actually got a kid that TX was recruiting, as for the article its on Insiders in the premium articles of which I had a membership, some of the info comes from ESPN Insiders and I post as much as ESPN posts.

That kid needs at least 3-4 years before he has a prayer of playing division 1 football.

why the other schools QB is going to TCU according to a article on HR its in a interview with GD
6'4 205 lbs is a good starting point for Doyle to work with, 20 months with a RS and who knows, 225 lbs is not that hard to expect, 20 lbs of muscle weight. thats 1 lb a month.
have you ever seen the type of weight facilities they have in TX schools, they dwarf most small colleges.
once he signs his LOI Doyle can set him up with a training regimine specifically for QB'S

Hopefully he can realize there is a spot right away if he comes in fall in shape and ready to learn the playbook. If he is good enough his size won't matter all that much especially if the o-line is healthy and keeps him upright most of the time.

Why would I be mad?? You are such a moron. I just wanted to check what you claim as fact as always you are the only one that's heard it and can't back it up. Then again what's new right?

By this logic, why would anyone make anything up on the Internet?

actually the kid will be here in time for the summer workouts.
as of now he is rated the 52nd best QB, Stanzi was in the 90's
like it stats, over 8000 yards passing, 98 total TD's passing and
over 1000 yards rushing with over 25 rushing TD's
126 carries for 842 yards for 60.1 ypg and a 6.68 ypc and 16 TD's alone this season, before the State championship game
this can be found here good luck

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here Red, lets not compare this HS kid to Stanzi quite yet. I know you are just posting their rankings but if there is anything we know is that recruiting rankings are a little flawed. I like the kids stats so far but until he is here working out and playing comparing to Stanzi at his SR in HS seems a bit pointless. Stanzi wasn't ready when he got here. He needed a little over 2 years to be ready to be a starter and even then he struggled mightily behind a good offensive line and he had a Doak Walker award winner in his backfield.

You will also notice that Herby doesn't compare the #90 ranked QB to ALL other QB's......but rather just the very successful ones. How about saying that the #90 ranked kid will fail, because Weinke and Christensen were both highly ranked QB's that ended up flopping?

Herby picks and chooses who he compares players to. Last year all Herby did was compare Gesell's ranking to that of Burke (because he had a phenomenal FR season). You didn't see him comparing Gesell to others that were similarly ranked that struggled.

I personally don't put a ton a weight in rankings, but rather wait to see how a player produces once they take the field/court. Shimonek may be the second coming, and he could also be a 5 year clip board holder....

Dean, I completely agree but I think the reason Herby does that is because of his optimism towards the team. He wants others to think and feel the way he does. Problem is that most people have the mentality that kids are more likely to fail than succeed. Odds are against them that they will end up like Trey Burke and not just another guys who plays but doesn't stand out or take it to the next level.

You are absolutely right, it doesn't matter until they play at the Div. 1 level. Football or Basketball recruiting in based on a scout's assumption that a player CAN take his game to the next level and succeed.

I compared Iowa players at the same positions
as for Burke he was rated "15th" BEST at his position and compared Gesell "13th" BEST to show the possible potential success, no where did I try to compare the #1 pg in Paige to Gesell 13 best for pontential.
I simply used 2 players of equal value for examples, isn't that the whole Idea?
as for Stanzi and Shimonek if Stanzi that was rated in the 90's can have success why shouldn't I compare the 2 as both are Iowa players and Shimonek is a slow return to higher ranked QB recruits
