I like that their fans look down their noses at Ferentz and what he's done and accomplished at Iowa because of what their program did over 20 years ago. Instead of recognizing that Iowa and it's program has adjusted to the times and climate of major college football like they haven't.
They like to to say things to Iowa fans like "You accept mediocre football, you're happy with winning 7 or 8 games a year, at Nebraska it's not acceptable" and "You pay your coach 4 million to win 7 games a year" . /QUOTE]
I have a coworked who is a Nebraska fan, and I literally heard this verbatim last week. Do they go to a class where they all learn the same rhetoric?
Also from that coworker: "People are poking fun now, but we have the right coach, and as soon as he gets things going Nebraska will be right back as a perennial top-10 team."
I actually think Frost will get Nebraska fairly salty eventually. They seem to be playing hard right now (if not smart), and they are challenging from an offensive scheme standpoint. As long as he can stay stocked in QB-talent, they will be a tough out and will probably compete for the upper-half of the west with Wisconsin, Iowa, and NW.
