Rumor About Eno Lying To Iowa Staff

Well, if your question is "Which is more likely: that Iowa's staff violated the NCAA's rule about publicly commenting on recruits, or that Rivals exaggerated their 'inside' connection?", I'd choose the latter.
I agree, but so many kf minions are running with it so I thought I'd bring up the obvious issue with NCAA rules.

Down in SEC Country the coaches basically use the "writers" from the fan websites to call the recruits and give their sales pitches and make contacts during the dead season.

Did anyone say when this info was passed along? Is it a violation if the kid has decommitted or is it just for kids who are committed?

Agreed Rob. I remember your first take on it was it would be very unlike this staff to pull the offer just because of a visit. As you said, the staff has worked around those in the past. These are the ones that I know took visits while they were committed to Iowa. Are there more I am missing?

Ross P
Delano Hill
Karen Higdon
Drew Ott
Noah Fant
Calloway
Coralles (still has an offer and considering Iowa according to his dad)
Holmes (still had an offer after visiting OU the weekend of the Iowa vs Michigan game)

Also on the flip side can you think of a commit that got his offer pulled because he visited another school? I know Dantonio has done that a few times, but I can't think of Iowa doing it, but obviously you know this area more than I do.

Jay Valai, supposedly.

really hope we get Martin from IC West. He could probably come right in and contribute at receiver. Worried that he will go to N. Dame though.

If we are going to violate recruiting rules I want to do it getting recruits NOT loose them.

Our coaches suck so bad we cant even violate NCAA rules correctly.

Who said we violated rules, besides an OP who has--repeatedly--proven himself/herself clueless with regard to pretty much ANYthing related to college football?

You're missing the point. Someone within the program told someone in the media, which surely the NCAA would interpret as being "public." Unless of course, that media person made it up...

How do you know this? Could be from a ton of people. There are secretaries, staff, trainers, grad assistants. There are a ton of people with information. I doubt very much that the coaches call Tom freaking Kakert and give him updates.......

He may or may not have been less than truthful. We don't know. He has not said publicly. But as I've said before, there's more to this story from his side than has been told publicly.

Eno better watch himself and see how many commitable offers he has by signing day. The kids following him around like a bunch of idiots should be careful.

It's being spread around by someone with ties to the athletic department saying that Eno is actively recruiting against Iowa now and is reaching out to kids to decommit.

I'll trust that source who said it as well.

If true, more of an Eno problem. a 4star recruit isn't bigger than a program. again, if it's true, not the type of young man I want as a Hawk
