Rome killing Iowa

Romey started the show and ripped Iowa, he said he will finish it. Sounds like he is going to rip pretty hard. Never good for Iowa's "national" brand if we even have one.
 
Nobody listens to him outside of his "clones". Murph and Andy both said that their lead in ratings coming off of the Jim Rome show are atrocious at best.
 
Yeah, it sounds like he's going to use Iowa as his example of how bad the B1G is. He already called the loss an embarrassment to the school and the conference. It's to be expected. How freaking embarrassing!
 
Rome loves taking pot-shots at Iowa since KF turned down an invite to be on his show back in 2002 I believe.. Otherwise, why would Rome even bother to give a program like Iowa the time of day on his show? I can't say the criticism is unwarranted, though.
 
Ferentz, and his salary, have become a joke to pretty much all media outside of Iowa. It's just the sad truth. When you're one of the top paid coaches in the country and have only 2 top 25 finishes in the last 8 years, it's to be expected.

His ratings aren't the best in the Metro area here in Iowa, Apparently people can't get enough Garman and Cotlar? but the dude still has millions of people (clones)
who listen to him nationally. Getting ripped on national radio isn't good. Now Iowa gets to be a punch line this year in the national spotlight. He'll probably get emails like: Hey Illinois, Can't win em all...sincerely Iowa. Just like when Michigan lost to App State, now it's Iowa losing to Central Michigan.
 
Rome may irritate some people due to his comments about Ferentz after Kirk snubbed him in 02. But remember, the day after Iowa beat Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl, he started the show with it and gave Iowa some serious props. He'll give it when it's due bad or good.
 
If we have some recruits that are clones, I would crack up. I bet they'd be the biggest smack talkers on the field. Doubt Kirk would like that too much.

He is going to talk about it after this break..
 
this will backfire for Rome. I doubt any Hawks fans call in to defend KF ths time. And people outside Iowa could give 2 sh*t*.

Backfire? Yeah, because he has nothing better to do with 200 affiliates and 6 million listeners than troll butt hurt Iowa fans.
