Rome killing Iowa

He was talking about this all day today, even used the first question in the Larry Fitzgerald interview to pile on. Some caller started crying and messed up their cue cards but had something to say about the Big Ten being bad.

The Big Ten has had plenty of terrible losses in recent years and this one is right near the top of the list."

That isn't my idea of "serious props"...that's exactly what I was saying. He used Iowa's win to rip Ga Tech. Even saying it was a "big win for Iowa" was back handed when he went on to rip the other team for not being worthy of playing in a BCS game.

The Hawkeyes had a cameo in that movie in which the pulling guard broke the star LBs leg after the LB was talking smack at the line of scrimmage about the guard messing around with the LBs sister. This clearly makes Iowa the most recognizable non-letter logo.

I suppose you could look at it like that. It wasn't the impression I got when I heard it. "Serious props" may not have been the best choice of words, but he was at least complimentary. I was just saying that IF Iowa does something noteworthy he wouldn't go out of his way to not point it out. I don't remember the whole interview word for word, but he also talked about the momentum Iowa was taking into the 2010 season as we all did. He singled out Clayborn and probably would of had him on the show if not for the Ferentz thing. He's said before that he'd love to have a Hawk on the show but that probably wouldn't happen because of the coach.
