Rebuilding in year 7

It's very early.. but this year is shouldn't be this bad.

People all around, coaches to players are failing at their jobs.

But here's the rub: if you look at his past performances in recruiting, why should anyone have any hope that his future recruiting is any good?

Seems like every thread that's started lately is negative. Is there anything good going on in Hawkeye land?

Maybe the bowl game will be entertaining (albeit meaningless)?
Yeah, that's pretty much it until August. Iowa sports is pretty dire.

Good but not great. Much better than the last few years though
Cook is top 100, Garza and Nunge are high ranked too. That's 3 pretty good out of state recruits in the last 2 classes. Add in the in state recruits and his recruiting looks good enough to compete for titles. Who knows about the other aspects of his coaching right now. I know last year Ohio State was in our position as far as young roster and they looked about just as bad as wee do. Having two upperclassmen is extremely abnormal.

We had one top 100 recruit in 2014, 2015 and 2016 correct?

Because it has been. Cook, Pemsl, Bohannon, Garza, Nunge, Connor, Partrick, and Weiscamp all seem like players you can put a good team together with.

We've lost Cook who is worth 15-20 points a night. The freshman class is solid with Cook, Pemsl and Bohannen. I think they should be playing Kreiner and Dailey much more to see what we've got and we need a big man in the worst way (Kreiner).

The sophomore class is a bust so far with the best 2 players at the moment being Baer (former walk-on) and Moss. I like what Moss is doing but Fran keeps pulling him for freaking Ellingson who is not good enough.

I'd stop messing around with playing Ellingson, Uhl, Wagner & Williams and play Jok, all the freshman along with Moss & Baer. Cut those other guys loose at semester or end of year.
