When you have one class pan out abnormally well like we did, you will more than likely have a big drop off after they leave. My fear is this freshman class might be the same. Hopefully they won't blow two seasons late like the last class did so if we have another big drop off when they leave it won't suck so bad.

In the last 3 years they have had a losing record one year, and lost in the B1G tournament and the 1st round of NCAA's the last 2 years.....YEE HA!!! LOL....You are seriously 'handicapped'......... I've been lurking in the forums here enough to know that you can give good insight to anyone willing enough to read beyond your snarkiness. However, if you don't think that Iowa didn't lose a game due to speed this season, you clearly did not watch the Bower and Niemann 5 yards behind anyone in the flats, specifically in the Wisconsin game. Their recognition on playfakes was simply not there and their lack of reconvery speed left everyone open runnning to the flats. Just that doesn't address the lack of a receivers ability to get open downfield.

Also, what is everyone saying about Moss now? Can I take the "he won't make an all B1G" now?

You're one of those 'lurkers', eh? :) OK, so many things about them in the 'flats'....first of all, that is what Iowa's defense is designed to give you...short gains in the flat. Secondly, the only time that Neimann and Bower get 'beat' in the flat (and normally, they are all over the receiver) is trying to cover a slot receiver or back (on crossing routes alot) with a LB which NO team does well. They completed over half of their passes to RB, FB and TE for short gains. They threw for 2 long gains which has nothing to do with our 'speed' (especially at LB). You failed to mention (and I can post the shots on here) of Jewell getting beat in the flat also (Butt from Mich. for one). Is it because he was too slow? You think we lost to Wisconsin because our LB's were too slow? LOL.....Thanks for sharing....you can go back to 'lurking' now, because you're clueless. We lost the game because we got outrushed 167-83. Plain and simple. Strange time and place to post this drivel..........
 
Am watching the Wisc vs. Iowa replay and I see what you're talking about. Wisc. had 3rd and 2 and they threw a 2 yd. pass on a rub route and Niemann let him have a 3 yd. gain for a 1st down. LOL....what a slow bastard, lol....yup, I can see why we lost, LOL....I'm going to watch more...I'll keep you posted...
 
Oh, there biggest gain on their first drive was a 'jet' sweep and Snyder missed an open field tackle.....DAMN SLOW LB'S!!! LOL....

God damn slow outside LB's!!! Iowa had great field position and 3rd and inches....but Kittle fell over, AND THEN they couldn't get a play in and ran in about 35 seconds, so the had to call a time out! Effing slow LB's....
 
Wisc. got 40 on a simple weak side dig, and beat........KING! Who covered like shit and tackled even worse. Damn slow outside LB's again, LOLOLOLOLOLO.........
