Racism unique to only Iowa within the college ranks?

We have plenty of video evidence he can be rather...animated. We also know a high number of black players left. 1 + 2 + x = ? We don't know what X is. We can hope what it is not.

Going off on his players or the officials does not in anyway make him racists, so it's not part of the equation AT ALL. If you want to point too a few black players transferring as a sign of him being racist, even when white players have left as well, then you are looking for excuses to say Fran is racist.

Maybe he is racist against 7 footers:

No, Gold will spare no opportunity to take a swipe at Fran. He just spent the entire season trying to tell us how worthless Connor was, and how it was like playing four on five on the offensive end, and how the lack of respect for Connors "lack of offense" would be our downfall.

Connor was instrumental in numerous conference wins the last two years with timely three point shooting, clutch free throw shooting, setting screens, had the assists in both buzzer beaters in '19, displayed a high basketball IQ, etc.

But don't try to convince Gold. He is convinced the nepotism factor is running rampant through the program. Now he has info from a "trusted straight forward" source that Fran is widely abusive. Now he insinuates an issue with black players transferring out. Who knows what's next?

You know better than that. Also asshole go back and look at what I actually posted. Never said he was. Pointed out he is a jerk...and he is, and last season had a low number of black players. We're you one of the ones subduing questions some had about Rhabdo or BF? Or did you just ignore and one who liked it.

Lute, Steve, Lick and Mr. Davis frequently had low numbers of black players. Why is it only a Fran issue? Answer, because Fran can't get a pass with you. What about white players who have transferred out under Fran? You know like Ben Brust, Cully Payne, Brennan Cougill, Andrew Fleming, Brady Ellingson. Is that an issue too?

He has a violent temper and can be testy with the media. But I thought last year was one of his better coaching jobs. Sorry your hatred of Fran caused you to miss it. And if you have stories from your source that Fran is an abusive person let's hear them. Must not have bothered his assistants much. He kept the same staff for nine years.

You took a direct swipe at my kids a few weeks ago saying, or paraphrasing, that they be scarred and bitter with turmoil for life. How dare you. How f'in dare you. And you called ME an asshole! And you took swipes at other posters in that post as well.

You miss understood. I took a swipe at me. I know way to much about trauma. It's a tough thing to overcome throughout your life. My personal experience was me though I do have experience with my own kids with trauma. Get over yourself. The trauma shows up in child birth and a whole lot of stuff. The sooner you know that the better you'll help when it happens. My traumatized kids and me aren't bitter at all but it sure can come out.

Read about complex PTSD, anything Dan Allender, and the book the body keeps the score.

About Fran.... We'll see but I bet there will be more scrutiny.

And you can be an asshole.

Fran is intense, as are most successful coaches. But he backs his players to the hilt and they have mentioned this in interviews. Transfers from his program have been all about finding playing time. That includes black and white players.

Every situation is different. You can quote all the books and draw on your Walter Mitty life experiences all you want.

But some things can't be written in a textbook.

Your heart is in the right place but you continually tackle subjects with some of the heaviest handed morality on this board. You you have to expect backlash from time to time.

It's very similar to the criticisms Harry Chapin used to receive.

Heavy handed according to those who disagree. It's the same bullshit that allowed Doyle to operate.

I expect backlash. Not a big deal. About family, someday you'll get it. At least you won't be blindsided.

About Fran, it is an embarrassment. He will be open to criticism. Barra should never allow it. Then we have Dolph.

What is the grad rate compared to white players starting as Frosh.
