Racism unique to only Iowa within the college ranks?

Sadly, Gangs are one of the few “safe” places for young black males. Not really safe, of course, but what are the alternatives? I think they gravitate toward gangs for perceived safety and brotherhood, belonging. As an example, I have seen countless High School age kids seek refuge in the wrong places. And because of where I worked, most of these kids were white. So we have an understandable climate which often ends in tragedy. I am sickened by the trap that captures young black males.
 
Going back to the topic about Iowa. Talked to a friend last night who interacts with all Big coaches during the season during games. Mostly he s just right there. He spoke about Iowa. He is a balanced guy. He has always said Fran is abusive to everyone around him during games including coaches. His words are Fran is the worst. He is not surprised Iowa would tolerate what went on with football based on Fran s behavior. Match that with black bb players not staying.

So which way is it? Is Fran abusive towards everyone or is he racist? I don't just see black basketball players transferring from Iowa.

Yes, really! First you say that Fran is abusive towards everyone, based on what your "friend" said and then you go on to say "Match that with black bb players not staying". Almost every school has players that transfer out and it's not just black players that leave Iowa. Andrew Fleming transferred, so did Brady Ellingson, Riley Till transferred this year.

Wagner transferred because he wanted to try football, Isaiah Moss transferred because he was going to lose his starting spot, Brandon Hutton transferred because he wasn't good enough for major college basketball, Christian Williams wanted more playing time.

If you want to accuse Fran of being racist, fine, but give us more evidence then that he abuses everyone (EVERYONE) and a few players have transferred out.

This is La La land people saying Fran is racist. Guy played in Philly, college, coached all over. Nobody has ever made that claim. Fran is racist towards the color orange cause BB is all he thinks about. Is Iowa in everyone's cross-hairs now, good God.

Come on, you suggested it so now you get to own it. They do not have issues keeping "black players" and that was a terrible connection you made. About every major college has players that transfer out, for a variety of different reasons. Unless you've got some other evidence you should shut your pie hole on these racist accusations.

I intended no offense to you or your friend. However, it is his opinion and there may be other views. I have a season BB ticket. I watch Fran’s game time behavior. It looks pretty normal to me, compared to other BT coaches. But, I cannot hear him from my seat.

I did not think you said he was racist. Black or white, kids move on for a variety of reasons. I would have to hear their stories before I passed judgement. “Not a nice person”? I have read enough about what he has done to call that BS. I am sure their are people who don’t like him. Such is life as a public, very public, figure.

This is probably even less accurate than Hillary calling my wife a deplorable and Rob calling her a piece of shit recently (for voting for Trump). Fran can get hot but I don't believe he has a racist bone in his body.

I said people supporting him. People get a mulligan from me for voting for him in ‘16. He’s a con man. If you haven’t realized by now he’s a piece of shit and still support him, then, well...
