If anything were to concern me, it's the team with 2 Hawkeye starters, 1 of which being our best player getting beat by 20.
 
Fran putting player safety and preventing them from going to the **** hole that is Waterloo and possibly being shot reflects well on him in my book.

Personally. I don't care what proof you think you need. And yes, this thread has become stupid. All because some of you little Nancies cannot handle the simple facts when someone is trying to pass them along. You want IRON CLAD PROOF! I often share my opinions and almost NEVER claim inside information and present it as fact. So, when I do, you girls shouldn't jump the gun to challenge me on it.
If you think otherwise, go ahead and find another thread on here where I claim inside information and shared it.
If you guys want to act this way when someone does decide to share information, don't be surprised when people stop sharing it.

The only defensive one who's acting like a 12 year old girl with a skinned knee is you. You continue to make a baseless claim with nothing to back it up and getting all defensive and calling everyone names while doing it. It's not a good look.

Anyways, I stand by my comment, these guys get to as many of the games as they can during a hectic off season schedule that requires them to balance school, family, new NCAA work out rules and personal lives. It's understood they aren't always gonna be there by all parties and it doesn't reflect poorly on Fran or individual players... or why else would Matt Gatens even get drafted and play what 2 games? You're claim doesn't make sense, if it did, people wouldn't bat an eye on your inside info.

No I get it. You think some guys missing PTL games reflects poorly on Fran and you think Fran is upset because of it. The problem is, you called that a fact. Unfortunately you don't seem to understand what a fact is. What you stated is what is considered an OPINION. Opinions are actually welcomed on this board as that's pretty much what message boards entail. You reverted to a defense mechanism of getting angry when people called for proof of your so-called 'fact' but this is simply a case of someone not understanding the meaning of a word.

I'm glad it's finally cleared up though.
 
I don't even care when someone says they know something but won't say how. I was just legitimately confused but the "trust me" post because it followed a post that was written like he was giving his opinion that it makes Fran look bad.

The post I quoted sounds nothing like you are stating inside info. It sounds like you are throwing in your 2 cents about how it makes Fran look.
 
[FONT=Open Sans, Arial, sans-serif]PTL is not mandatory - end of discussion. Summer classes, weight lifting, individual work-outs, drive time to PTL's in Waterloo etc, that stuff adds up. They only get so many hours to play hoops. Of the 52 weeks a year, about 44 of them are spent in Iowa City for these guys...if you are going to recruit kids all over the country, you've got allow them to go home and have down time. I don't know any facts in regards to this, but I have a hard time believing that Fran comes out looking bad because of a poor PTL turn out. [/FONT]

If Fran told people it reflects poorly on him, it's an opinion. Fran's opinion. If all the PTL coaches got together and told people they blame no shows on Fran, then it's a fact.

no one asked you not to share, in fact, I am glad you did cause it got me looking more into what is required and expected out of these kids for the PTL. It's a message board, love that people share things like this, but we asked how or why you thought it or where you got it and you've got nothing but "trust me" on a baseless accusation that you claim is fact & then called everyone defensive girls.

You gotta see where some of us are questioning it.

I just want to know what part to trust. Are you saying that you know that players are missing games for no good reasons, that you know it's causing people to think negativity towards Fran, or that you know that Fran is of the opinion that it reflects poory on him? I don't give a rip to know how you know. I just want to understand what the hell you're talking about.
