Its pretty easy to find someone that has an opinion about whatever it may be. It isn't anything unusual. I don't think Fran probably has been around Iowa City for awhile with recruiting. It sounds like he is doing a lot of traveling. These players are having summer practice sessions with the assistant coaches. I doubt the games in the prime time league are as valuable, except for allowing them to get comfortable in playing in front of the Iowa fans.

I just "heard" FWIW that Ellingson was sick, Clemmons was home, Hutton was hurt from the week before and has stitches, Jones may be nursing an injury but it's unsure, but it sounds like he wasn't going to play this week. The recent changes in the NCAA rule allows coaches to work with players in the summer and most either do the workout or PTL, not both. These guys play year round, it's understood and known ahead of time that these guys aren't gonna be there every week in the off season.

Color me confused but you have hinted that these players should of been there but weren't. Then you say you don't know anything for sure but everyone is supposed to trust you? Everyone knows Hutton just got stitches on his face. Not sure about the others but you seem to be....but it's just a guess:confused:

I said a bunch of players weren't there. They should have been. A commitment was not met and that reflects poorly on Fran, that is not "my opinion". I don't know where the players were or what they were doing. Why is that so hard to understand?
Why the need to make it something more than it is?

What did Fran have to say about it? People on here are just curious to hear what someone in the "know" knows....That's all. If you know something don't
be so cryptic. It makes it sound like there is something underlying that you're aware of that's all. Not trying to be negative towards you but if you know something just say it. When you act like you know the reason but then say you have no idea it implies that there is possibly a troll attempt going on. I've been out of the loop with things past few weeks and would be curious to know what Fran had to say about it. If you don't want to say that's fine just don't bring it up in the first place if you're not going to elaborate.

These kids are young and may have prioritized something else. If Fran is unhappy with their decision he'll no doubt let them know and they'll hopefully learn from it. Jok seems to be finally understanding what it takes to be a D-1 athlete so I could see some learning curve with this many young recruits coming in at the same time. As for Hutton I'm sure it had to do with his face wounds.

So it reflects badly on him according to who? you? Or is Gary Barta or a bunch of donors are sitting around talking about how these guys not showing up looks bad? In order for it to reflect poorly on Fran, someone (other than you, if it's not your opinion) has to care. I think that's what people are wondering.
