Pro Football Focus Ranks Our O-line No. 1

rankings - schmankings, what do your eyeballs tell you?
Well, if you're the 'typical' ignorant 'fan', who cares what your 'eyeballs' tell you, lol........If you don't know the 'scheme' and everyones responsibility on every play, you don't know what the sam hill you're talking about....So just watch the games and try to 'learn' something............like that's ever going to happen :)

I am not an o-line expert I am just Joe Schmo fan, but Iowa's run blocking especially the last 2 weeks have been a thing of beauty. You can see how Iowa has applied pin and pull concepts to their run game. Just google 'pin and pull' or watch some youtube videos and you can see how outside zone runs are so much more effective now.

Welsh isn't Marshal Yanda or David DeCastro, but that dude is going to play in the league a long time.

The OLine has looked very good, sometimes acting as one unit other than individuals.

CJ is getting much more protection the past two games against Minnesota and Purdue. He is releasing the ball sooner than before and gradually getting back to form. Realize that it was Purdue but the first half was exceptional. Showed the way the Hawks are capable of playing.

Still seems like a typo, having the Number One offensive line in College Football right now, but enjoy it while it lasts. Sort of like last season's basketball team being ranked #1 by Kenpom last January.

Beat the Badgers Senseless, Lads

Go back and watch. Only a couple times all year has he takin a 'hit' from the blind side. Like I have said and the tape (facts) support me....he steps 'into' pressure instead of 'away' from it. If the OT has his body between the defender and you, he is doing his job and like I said, watch the 'pros' and how 'they' (QB's) react to it......

As Donald Trump would say when leaning into a microphone......."Wrooong".

I think you've been watching reruns from another year. He's gotten hit from the blindside at least 3 times this year from the L tackle getting beat and said tackle ended up chasing the defender. They haven't been staying between the defender and the QB. They are getting beat laterally, or at least said L tackle. Feet weren't quick enough to position.
