Poll: Connor McCaffery Mr. Basketball Snub

Should Connor congratulate Joe Smoldt or should he & his bro continue bitching about it on twitter?

  • Offer congrats to Joe on a great season.

  • Continue the butthurt drama on twitter.

I read the tweets. Wow can you say pathetic? Apparently the mccaffreys weren't taught how to lose with grace or not say anything if you have nothing good to say. If roles were reversed and Joe said these things the majority of people on this board would crucify him.

Margaret McCaffery first made headlines in 2006 when she and her husband were ejected from a game at Hofstra. After Fran McCaffery was tossed for what he said was the first time in his career, his wife was ejected later in the game after a tirade at officials that included profanity. She was escorted from the arena by a security guard.

After the loss to Loyola, Margaret McCaffery told reporters in colorful terms that she felt Siena had been victimized by the officials. Perhaps worse, considering the delicate relationships between college coaches and referees, she said, “Will Bush is a horrendous official.”

This could be more entertaining than the Licks.

Meh...Everyone wants kids with confidence and attitude on the court, but then you scorn them for going too far off of it. Most of the all time basketball greats were relentless shit talkers. The "killer instinct" in a basketball player usually coincides with a demonstrative personality. Get back to me if they do something worse then talking shit online since 90% of hawkeyenation posters are guilty of the very same thing.

This has nothing to do with confidence.

I'd still like to have my earlier question answered. Where was the outcry when everyone on this site was bashing Eno Benjamin? Was he not just a high school kid spouting off on twitter also?

I never been bashed Eno. Don't care what you post on social media as long as it's legal.

I'd rather have a dude like Connor who talks tough and backs it up on the court than someone who just talks and doesn't really do anything. We have enough of those kinds of guys in the wrestling program.
