Meh, I remember the context in which both incidents occurred and it was just as dumb and immature as me posting the pic. nothing. he was "maybe" going to announce this weekend. which means don't hold your breath. this recruiting job might not be over till signing day.
Apparently they think he will start this year at DT. I hope Blythe and our guards just destroy him.

He also said when he makes his announcement, there will be no Q&A with reporters afterwards. Does that sound like a guy who is staying with IOWA?

Honestly, it sounds like a guy who truly doesn't know and is tired of all the speculation. Regardless of his decision he probably doesn't want to have to explain himself to everyone. You're just being negative because that's your nature. Considering everyone was expecting him to flip to Bama on Saturday don't you think that would have been the easiest time to do it? Clearly he hasn't made up his mind. I'd say it's 50/50 right now or he would have made the announcement.
Just gonna have to wait and see, but trying to predict what he's going to decide based off of no Q+A session is a little ridiculous... which isn't surprising because this whole situation is a little ridiculous.

I don't' get this. He caused this whole ordeal, and now doesn't want to be held accountable. You would think if he switches (or stays) he'd want to speak on his own behalf, not run from the situation. If he thinks the pressure from the state of Iowa is bad the SEC and Bama alumni and fan base will eat him alive...
he owes no one an explanation of his choice.

well he did make a decision already and look how that turned out. Even after this decision is finally made do any of you really believe that will be the end of it?
Maybe the point of not having Q&A afterwards is so that all the reports don't ask him if he is solid "IF" he is staying with Iowa. Maybe he wants everyone to know that when he makes up his mind he is done completely and his mind is made up. Obviously with what has happened with his recruitment, I don't think anyone is going to believe his mind is truly made up until he signs his National L.O.I.

Who cares!? From a Hawk fans perspective there is only 2 ways this can turn out:
1. He's a Hawk
2. He isn't a Hawk
Whether he makes that decision now or on signing day it doesn't matter. It's up to you how you respond to that. I'm sure he doesn't really care how you feel nor should he. In the grand scheme of things its not a big deal either way. If he's a Hawk he'll be loved, if not he'll get some backlash but everyone will move on eventually. There is no reason to look at every little comment under a microscope. He's a teenager trying to make a huge decision. It is what it is. There are far more important things in life than whether or not Iowa lands a top recruit.

Well let's see...I believe it was RP who spoke with the media about his commitments, subsequent visits and supposed deadline for a "final decision". There is no analysis going on, I just assumed that if he was going to go back on a public commitment to the "school of his dreams" and his "idol" he would want to explain himself is all. Nothing more. To each his own...
I believe the rivals guys assumed he was making an announcement. I don't believe he called them to set something up. These kids have weirdos from all over calling them daily to ask how their weekend went and if they are going to decide soon. Some kids say little some say whats on their minds.
Sad part is people here form opinions of them based on rivals, 247, ESPN (nobody reads rob howe or wants to talk with him). If he says something it blows up and people freak. If he doesnt people freak.
Let them make their choice and not wig out thinking it means anyhting. Hell i would do it just mess with people. There is dbader on halo who has been wigging out all week. I hope ross keeps it up so his head pops.
