Let them make their choice and not wig out thinking it means anyhting. Hell i would do it just mess with people. There is dbader on halo who has been wigging out all week. I hope ross keeps it up so his head pops.

From what I read, Hembolt contacted him and RP told him he'd have a decision by the end of the weekend. Halo is a classic comedy of people like that, lol! It's worth the price of admission to watch melt downs!

Could you imagine making your living by calling high school boys and asking how their weekend went...I would rather poke my own eyes out.

Specially when you consider some of the kids they have to call. By and large, the majority of them are probably good kids. However, I'm sure some of them don't know their mouth from their a$$ and have egos the size of Royce White. Yet it's your job to try to be polite and get as much information as possible. You're basically the equivalent of paparazzi only you're stuck playing phone tag with a bunch of teenage boys who have had everything handed to them their entire lives because of their athletic ability. No freakin way I'd want that in my job description.

As for Ross's pre-announced media silence, maybe he is just exhausted by the whole thing as someone else mentioned and needs the break.

But it seems to me that if he was going IOWA, he'd have nothing to fear. It wouldn't take much to say, hey I had the opportunity to look at 2 great schools, one that has multiple NCs...so I felt it was the smart thing to do, this was an important decision. But when it came down to it...I still felt IOWA was the place for me. (thunderous applause and cheers...okay you get the idea). End of story.

But if it's 'Bama... the last thing I'd want to do is explain to the home fans why it was a better option. Why add insult to injury for IOWA (I'm sure he respects KFz) and take any crap from people. Couldn't really blame him for that.

Maybe I'm wrong...but I don't think it's so outrageous to consider the above.

Hey O'Keefe - two things. One, Iowa is 12-0 and Alabama is 11-1, so this kid clearly messed up. Two, Iowa has the fewest four and five star recruits (by a wide margin) of any team that is still reasonably alive for the national title. Your point about guys with 4 stars was exactly correct. Doyle.
 
Surely somebody has some contact with Perschbacher. Would love to hear what he is really thinking these days. You have to think he thinks it would have been pretty cool to be part of this team.
