Other B1G and CBB Game Thread

Imagine how devastating those two banked shots would have been if we would have finished off Rutgers and Penn State.

Purdue a bit disappointing. Haven't put it together to the level many thought. Illinois still has the better inside outside punch with Kofi/Frazier edging out Ivey/Edey. Illinois beat Wisky as well. Brad Underwear is not the greatest coach out there but they are the favorite going to the BTT.

No better test for us going there over the weekend. First we have to take care of Farley Dickinson and Michigan.

After watching a lot of BTen play during the past week, I'm feeling this may be one of the weakest BTen years in awhile. Polls may not show it; NET rankings may not show it; but the BTen has no dominant teams at the top, and the mid-level teams are frankly not playing that well now (other than Iowa). Ohio St. is an OK, but not great team. Sparty is an OK team, but not a great team. Michigan is a good team, but not a great team. Indiana is an OK team at best. Rutgers is an OK, but not great team. And from there, the conference is flat-out weak (NE, MN, NW, Maryland). I was surprised how the Big East took it to the BTen at the beginning of the season, but now I see why. The Buckeyes, Hawkeyes, Sparty, Michigan, Indiana -- all seem to be headed toward that 8-10 NCAA seed range and I'll be shocked if any of them get past the 1st weekend.

Just thought of a pretty good scenario. We beat Michigan and lose to Illinois. Rutgers wins out. Ohio State loses one more. We miss out on the double bye and get the 5 seed, but Rutgers gets the 4 seed. That might even be a better path to Saturday as opposed to playing Ohio State Friday. Our Thursday game would be the winner of Northwestern and Minnesota. If we get to Saturday, we play the winner of Wisconsin and likely Michigan. No matter what. We really want the 4 or 5 because that puts us on opposite sides of Illinois and Purdue.

Has your position on the BT weakness led you into deep lonliness?

I could be wrong as ive been wrong before in predicting the ncaa tournament but i just dont see wisconsin advancing to the second weekend. There luck will run out.

What can you see now without a bracket?? What if they get the easiest road of any team out there?

Indiana hasn't made the tournament in 6 years. As much as we complain about Fran...I'm just sayin.:)

That is honestly just insane. That said, I still think Indiana has a pretty good shot to get in, as always the bubble is pretty soft.
