Let's see here.....She's a two time World Champion. She has a great "rags-to-riches" story that can help motivate and inspire those who are also down on their luck and show them that it's possible to pick yourself up from that. She's led a chaste life and has shown other young women (such as my daughter) that how often you spread your legs for men doesn't dictate your worth.

Dude, I am a Christian, and I lost my virginity to my wife at age 25. I reveal that last fact, knowing I have a heap of message board ball-busting coming my way, because I am one of the people that Ms. Jones claims to be, and I ain't buying it.
It has nothing to do with her (debatable) attractiveness, not her (modest) success, but rather the way she is manipulating people with her public image.

1) Her attractiveness is not debatable.
2) Her success is not modest (wouldn't it be cool to be one of the top 3 or 5 or even 100 in the world at what I do).
She was the best person in the world at what she does for a period of years, and she has a pretty good chance to medal at the olympics. Her success isn't modest unless you only measure success by Olympic gold.

As for her doing adverts, your relevent time as a premier athlete is incredibly short. You have to cash in when you get a chance.

2. She is not one of the top 3 in what she does. She finished 3rd in US qualifying, and 5 people have run better than her best time this year alone. The only championships she has are 60m indoor hurdles, which is not even an Olympic event.
Either way, that's not the point I'm making. She is what she is. An Anna Kournikova or a Danica Patrick.

She ran the 2nd fastest time in the olympics in the opening heats. She HAS BEEN the best hurdler in the world, and was clearly the best hurdler in 2008 when she made a mistake that kept her off the medal stand.
